There Are Angels

God said:

There is an angel of love deep within you. This angel never falters. It flies high to stand on a platform of happiness. And this is the platform for you to stand on. I ask you to come from the same angle as your angel within. This angel is always present. No matter how hidden, how squelched, no matter how opposite-seeming, there is a winged angel within each heart, and that angel's wings and heart beat with love.

I do not try to convince you that this is true, for this angel of love is often not seen. It is not seen because your inner vision has been pasted over, beloveds. I do not demand that you see this angel. I do ask, however, that you acknowledge this angel of love so that it may indeed flourish within you. I understand that you do not always see this angel that soars in all hearts, and yet you have had glimpses of this universal angel of love that lives in your heart. It may be that it has been a long time since you had any idea of this angel's presence. But no matter, I ask you to consider the possibility that love is in your heart and that love is the very nature of your heart.

Imagine that what I say is true. Imagine that there is enough love within you to fuel the whole universe and all the hearts in it. Imagine that you come from a place of love. Even when you do not feel close to this place of love, imagine this angel of your heart spreading its wings. The next time you are impelled to answer someone sharply or walk off in a huff, graciously pause a moment and allow that angel within you to speak.

Now, beloveds, not all angels are flowery and sweet. Many are direct. This speaking angel of yours is not too good to be true, nor is this angel foreign to you. This angel soars so high that it would be absurd for it to speak in haste or speak sharply. This angel is not oblivious, and it does not capitulate. This angel sees that someone has stepped on your toes, either subtly or overtly, and this angel will address an issue for you, yet, unlike you, this angel is never inflamed. This angel of love in your heart has no temper.

How this angel can be unperturbed is because this angel knows it is eternal. Knowing this, this angel within you is always happy, never unhappy. This angel flies so swiftly in your heart that he or she dances to heights too high to receive any affront or disregard. It is beyond the sting of arrows.

This angel exists within you. You may be impatient, but this angel within you danced away from impatience long ago. Impatience cannot touch it. Offense is unknown to it. When you are ready to make a sharp retort, call on this angel of joy in your heart, and ask it to speak for you. When you feel you have to defend yourself, invite this angel to shoo away the fear within you. Fear within you is no angel, beloveds.

The angel of love within you is more powerful than any affront you have ever imagined. Please do admit that you have on more than one occasion been affronted when no affront existed. The angel of love works for you and meets itself in all the hearts you interact with. There are angels outside you, and there are angels within you, beloveds. There are angels.

I suppose it amounts to how we think about it. Is the ANGEL happy? No, angels never are happy, That's a foreign concept to the essence of IS. In the IS you are what you experience and you choose the emotion to fit what you are going through at the time. For example some very precious friends of mine were riding their 4 Harleys down the road when the oldest son swung out to pass a mini-van and an oncoming van hit him, tore off his right arm, and nearly severed his leg. Their lives stood still as the father lay on what he thought was his dead son. A following car happened to be filled with professional medics that leaped out of their car, dragged the father off the son, used bungie cords to stop the bleeding, had called for an ambulance and helicopter before the car had stopped. I just got a picture of the father, mother and son standing. Yes they were smiling even though the son had one arm gone, and a prosthetic leg. As the son was getting well he whispered to his Mother: "Mom, God asked me to go through this for you" She told me this at breakfast with friends in a motel in Winston Salem.
Was her angel happy? To be in God is not a question to be answered by emotion. It must be described by what a new mother feels as her brand new child nibbles and then sucks at her breast. The joy is more than needs to be put in foolish human words. It's high and beautiful and holy.
It's like this Heaven Letter, it's high and holy and so very beautiful.

I don't know why God didn't "give away this secret" in this HL, but I want to share with y'all a prayer that is practically foolproof...in that it almost always gets answered happily-for-all. (I love such prayers, and I have collected a few from my "learnings/leanings".)

When things get "iffy" with me and another (who is my brother/sister IN FACT), I just ask my angel to speak with their angel to get the matter resolved. Viola!! My attitude adjusts or their attitude adjusts -- whatever it takes...who cares? To be at peace with "our others" is the main goal.

Also, probably God would not share this re our angels being "direct"/not wussy...but He/She knows I am not bashful. The point being that God doesn't cringe at all when the-good-of-the-whole is at stake. Y'all know what?? That's how I KNOW God is not some high-and-mighty entity out-of-reach, but is an "Everyday God"...just right for you and me.

Thank you Dear God, for being how you are!! Who else would I listen to??

Dear One, there is absolutely nothing to thank me for, except for my typing. Heavenletters aren't from me. For sure, they are not.

This is Thursday when I'm writing this, and the Heavenletter that came out today is all about soul. I read it this morning (remember it was written down about six or seven weeks ago) and when I finished reading it, I thought what would I, personally, know about soul? And never would I presume to. That would be colossal!

I think it's important that we thank God and no one else. I believe there is a Heavenletter that says something like that. What was that Heavenletter. Something about a rock star, as I recall, but maybe it's another Heavenletter.

By the way, it does not say it's wrong to thank anyone or adore them. It does not say God is someone else. But I know what you mean, of course. We still have to remember who we are. I know too how it is to feel appreciation and want to thank someone.

In the case of Heavenletters, I feel really uncomfortable to be thanked when it concerns the beauty of God's words. Heavenletters are not about me at all. It's like -- if there were a maid hired to serve great food that someone else had prepared, you would thank the maid for serving the food but not for cooking it.
