Dear Gloria,

it is about HL # 5274, 5th paragraph from below.

We read there ... Because he doesn’t understand or can’t understand you means no more than that. Not being understood is such a big deal. Why is it such a big deal to you? Why do you choose to focus on it when you could be focusing on something else?

I guess, a "not" is missing. Doesn't it have to be: Not being understood is not such a big deal.?

Thank you for consideration.

In love,
Theophil

My thinking is this is meant

My thinking is this is meant to say that we humans think this is a very big deal indeed!

This is not made exactly clear.

Let me go the whole Heavenletter to see what it the whole context is. It's so easy to hear Heavenletters and so very difficult for me to go back and forth and keep it all together in my mind. Different things show in each place etc.

II would like to ask everyone to include in their question at least the paragraph before your question, the paragraph that your question is part of, and the paragraph after your question, if you will so kind.

I really do need your help. I'm not even sure at this point that I have the right Heavenletter.

Thank you kindly if you will bring over whatever it is I need to look at!!!

big deal yes...

Dear Gloria and Theophil

Not being understood is for a lot a people a very big deal, so I think this sentence is okay, as it is. But it can be otherwise....?

Consider the seeming other as someone who is running a race and doesn’t win. Are you angry with the runner because he couldn’t run faster? His winning or not winning the race has nothing to do with you. That he didn’t win doesn’t mean you lost. Because he doesn’t understand or can’t understand you means no more than that. Not being understood is such a big deal. Why is it such a big deal to you? Why do you choose to focus on it when you could be focusing on something else? Why not focus on something else that can give you at least a glimmer of happiness?

agreeing now -

Yes, Anneke, now I see it like you.

I should have slept over it one night more.

Thank you, to Gloria and to you, Anneke,
Theophil

Beloved Theophil, no dear,

Beloved Theophil, no dear, you must ask your questions.

There is something awkward here.We want to make sure. We care.

Please see my post below. The difficulty is definitely NOT in your question. It is in my inability to go back and forth easily to the original Heavenletter and see the whole context when I need to. This is one of those times I need to.

Please don't think that you have to be correct when you ask a question. You ask a question because you have a sincere question. We don't want to let something go by. Goodness knows I miss typos etc. Your help is needed.

Before a Heavenletter gets posted, I proof it many times on different occasions, and we well know I miss things.

Theophil, you have long been part of making Heavenletters excellent. I would say that 9 times out of 10, you are correct in what you point out anyway.

Thank you.

Always the question is what

Always the question is what did God intend? I know that's what we all want.

Godwriting is not an intellectual pursuit. It comes from the right brain. The right brain is not good at finding things. In my case, I realized that I was spending fifteen or more minutes trying to match up the questioned with its surrounding paragraphs and hadn't succeeded. It would mean so much if the dear and conscientious translators who care the most and ask their questions would include the context of the Heavenletter right with their original question.. Copy down

Forgive me. I got lost in this one. I spent more time hunting for the context of this necessary question than it takes to write down a whole Heavenletter.

It's about 4 a.m. right now. Let me see if I can match this up now.

Okay, it was easy enough

Okay, it was easy enough this morning to do this what was difficult last night (ouch!)

The fact is that no one owes you anything. What another says to you belongs to him and not to you. Oneness does not apply to squabbles.

Really, what has rocked your boat? You may be jumping up and down in upset when you could be looking at the Sun or the way the wind blows the leaves of trees. You could even be more like a choo-choo train that stays on a track of happiness. You could be stepping out with Me. Come alongside Me. Let’s see where I can take you.:

Okay, now I can see this in

Okay, now I can see this in front of me.

Here are my thoughts as I go along:

The bolded sentence is not clear.

To be misunderstood is a big deal.

Being misunderstood is a big deal.

My children suffer when they feel misunderstood.

It is uncomfortable for you when you feel misunderstood

Is the original sentence supposed to have a second not in it?

Is this what's the matter with this sentence? It shoulld read this way:

Not being understood is not such a big deal.

OR it could read:

Being misunderstood is a big deal to My children..

OR

To My children, being misunderstood is a very big deal.

God does acknowledge how much it does mean to us. Sometimes being understood makes all the difference in the world to us. (I feel a Heavenletter coming on.)

At this moment, I'm inclined to go with the last one. Let's try it out in the paragraph and see how it reads:

Consider the seeming other as someone who is running a race and doesn’t win. Are you angry with the runner because he couldn’t run faster? His winning or not winning the race has nothing to do with you. That he didn’t win doesn’t mean you lost. Because he doesn’t understand or can’t understand you means no more than that. Being misunderstood is a big deal to My children. Why is it such a big deal to you? Why do you choose to focus on it when you could be focusing on something else? Why not focus on something else that can give you at least a glimmer of happiness?

Now the impulse comes to change the following questions in this way: From why is it such a big deal to you to Must it be such a big deal to you? Must you choose to focus on it when you could be focusing on something else?

Okay, with reverence to God, I will try it. How do I know this is what God wants?

When the time comes and I try it, I find I can leave it, or I find I can't.

Let's find out now as I read it out loud:

Consider the seeming other as someone who is running a race and doesn’t win. Are you angry with the runner because he couldn’t run faster? His winning or not winning the race has nothing to do with you. That he didn’t win doesn’t mean you lost. Because he doesn’t understand or can’t understand you means no more than that. Being misunderstood is a big deal to My children.
Must it be such a big deal to you? Must you choose to focus on it when you could be focusing on something else?
Why not focus on something else that can give you at least a glimmer of happiness?

Okay, it's feeling okayed. Thank You, God.

There is one more thing I want to say. The way our web site is now I see the changes above as I type with all the code. This doesn't make it easy for me to see what we have. .

What I REALLY wanted to say is that the new upgrade will have what is called: What You See Is What You Get -- WYSIWYG. That will make things so much easier. Thanks, Will, for doing this. It means so much.

Dear Theophil, will you kindly make these changes on the Heavenletter Listing?

And now we see, after all, that you were right. And, had it turned out differently, what would it have mattered really. We would have had an inquiry, that's all.

Thank you so much.

Thank you. Now, as I see it,

Thank you.
Now, as I see it, all possible misinterpretations are out of the way. And the intended sense is given smoothely and without tapping questions whose small hands seem to be put out and which want to be fed.

I will make the changes.

In love,
Theophil
