Heaven #3786 Desire Enlightenment as a Gift You Give to the World

Dear Gloria,

in http://www.heavenletters.org/desire-enlightenment-as-a-gift-you-give-to-...

I am a bit confused in finding a proper translation for the word: "Enlightenment" because the word seems interchangeable with "awareness". Enlightenment can be defined as a state of intellectual or spiritual awareness.

Also your title is "Desire Enlightenment as a Gift Yo Give to the World" while, in the text of the Heavenletter it appears as : "Desire awareness as a gift you wish to give to the world." (3rd paragraph).

Then further (5th paragraph): "When you have the awareness of enlightenment, there is no need to announce it". I want to avoid redundancy in the translation.

What distinction do you make between the two words in the context of this Heavenletter?

Thanks

Beloved Normand, Here are

Beloved Normand,

Here are relevant quotations from this Heavenletter:

Anything you wish for yourself specifically lags behind awareness. Enlightenment desired for yourself is not enlightenment. And when you become aware, you are aware. Do not say you are awakened. No one has to know you are but you. Awareness is not for you alone, and yet you don’t announce that you are awakened or enlightened or any of the words you use. This you keep to yourself.

When you have the awareness of enlightenment, there is no need to announce it. There is no need to think about it.

Enlightenment is not an ending, as you do seem to think of it. It is not a conclusion. It is not an assessment for you to make. Enlightenment is not a door prize. It is not an attainment. It is not something for you to take credit for. It is not a medal. It is simply where you are.

Just as there is no need for you to proclaim your perceived lacks, there is no need to proclaim your perceived advances.

There is no arrival. There is always arriving. You are always getting closer. And yet you do not pass Go. Or, when you pass Go, it is natural and nothing need be said about it.

Even if you are the most enlightened person in the whole world, there is no reason to announce that you are. There is no need to say: “Look at me. I won!”

Pride does not enter into the field of enlightenment. The joy is enlightenment, not the saying you have reached it.

There is no need to advertise your state of consciousness. There is need to be it. There is need for you to emanate it. That’s all you have to do. And nothing can stop your emanation. Whatever your state of consciousness, you are emanating it.

The way I see it, one point of this Heavenletter is that we do not brag about our state of consciousness. It is not our accomplishment. There are a lot of people who speak of "their" enlightenment as a fact, as if there is a specific diploma. There are casual comments made like, "When I became enlightened..." "When I had my awakening experience..."

A second point is that it is not for us to self-declare how far along we think we are. If we really are "advanced," then there is no need to say it. And if we think we are, and it's our wishful thinking, it's better we keep to ourselves. Who are we to know anyway?

There are people who seek "enlightenment, awareness etc." as a selfish act, as a kind of elitism.

Anyway, enlightenment or whatever word is used is an ongoing thing. It is infinite.

I would imagine that the words are interchangeable in the context of this Heavenletter. No great or small significance from one to the other.

God bless you, dear Normand.

Thanks, Gloria I just needed

Thanks, Gloria
I just needed an imprimatur for the translation. I can manage…

Mit Liebe, geliebt Gloria.

What does imprimatur

What does imprimatur mean?!!!

Beloved Normand, I never have any doubt about your ability to manage -- more than manage -- far beyond manage.

Imprimatur is a latin verb

Imprimatur is a latin verb "imprimere", "to print" at the third person sing. present subjunctive passive and meaning "let it be printed".

It was in use (and it still in use) by the Vatican when the Pope approves the release of a book or a text.

Dear Gloria, in the second

Dear Gloria,

in the second paragraph:

"Thoughts are a dime a dozen. Thoughts grow on trees. Thoughts come fast, one after the other, hand over fist. Your awareness seems to come in bits and snatches. Your awareness withdraws, comes again, withdraws. You will become aware for keeps."

what does this expression "to become aware for keeps" means?

Thanks

For keeps means forever. You

For keeps means forever. You will never forget.

In this case, your awareness will stay and not withdraw again.

Thanks, beloved Normand.
