true greatness

In Service to Greatness

God said:

Sometimes you quake at the bereavement of your thoughts. Sometimes you feel that all is lost. Consider that all you consider lost or losable is illusion. That is all that loss can be. You can only have the illusion of loss. You certainly have the fear of it. Fear is illusion.

The Fulcrum of Life

God said:

You have a tendency to regard yourself as a surface Human Being who must look out for himself. You aggrandize yourself on the surface of life. You think you are cleverer than you are or more beautiful or more popular. You do this at the same time as you denigrate yourself. Do you not frequently disappoint yourself? You disappoint yourself because you know your magnificence lies not in the eyes of the world. No matter how great your beauty, fame, career, they are not you, beloveds. The surface changes. Before your very eyes, the fleeting surface fleets.

Your Heart Is a Star of Light

God said:

My grace I give to you. All is My grace. I graciously bestow the world to you and you to the world. I am most gracious in My gifts to you. Sometimes you recognize My gifts as gifts and sometimes you do not. Surely, you must accept that life itself is a gift, and that it makes sense to receive and acknowledge a gift that has been given you. How will your life be different when you recognize life itself as a great gift? You will have thrown off any concepts of life as burden and accepted the grace of God.

Star Light, Star Bright

God said:

Why do you do the things you do? What are your actions for? What is it you want to accomplish? What is your motive? What is your intention? Why do you do as you do or not do? Consider this every once in a while so you are conscious of what you are really choosing.

Do you choose to appease your ego? Be alert, for following ego is a losing game. One such as you who is made for greatness must make choices bigger than the ones ego would have you make. Ego's whims are too small and fragmented. Self-serving does not serve even you. Make your choices for something bigger than ego.

What Hat Are You Wearing?

God said:

If life can be compared to business organization, what department do you work in? Sales? Marketing? Collections? Customer Service? Accounting? Inventory? Shipping? Management? Advertising? Design? Reception? Administration? Manufacturing?

Of course, in function, you skip around and, at one time or another, have worked in all departments.

Where God Has Been All Along

God said:

No longer will you belabor points. You will let more of life fall where it may, like a springtime rain, like blossoms from a tree, like words from a page.

When you read a book, you don't try to change the words as you go along. Like petals, you let the words fall where they may. Of course, with a book, if you don't like it, you can stop reading any time you like. You can get off in midstream. You don't even have to begin reading a book that doesn't appeal to you at all.

In the Presence of Greatness

God said:

Sometimes you feel such great love for Me that you fear you cannot contain it. You, who are the sum total of My love, fear you are not equal to it.

You are right that you are more than a container, for you are the content and extent of My love. If you were a container, there would be a line drawn around you, and there is no line. Light does not have lines. It has rays. And you are one of them.

"Yes, My God, I Will!"

God said:

You are meant for big things. You are meant for greatness. Think great then. Think great now.

Don't scoff.

What greatness were you meant for?

Greatness is not of the world. You know that by now. But yet you can do great things in the world. You do them through Me, and I do them through you.

Your greatness may shine in small things. Many small greatnesses make big ones.

Your greatness may never be noticed. You certainly haven't noticed it. But you are the one to choose your greatness and to honor it.
