When translating back Heavenletters in your language that have never yet been translated

Within each team, some decisions have to to be made regarding older Heavenletters that have not been translated.

Here are some general questions about older Heavenletters in your language:

How do we know which Heavenletters in your language have been translated and which have not? This may be simple in some languages. I don't know the answer. Where do we find this out?

If it is from the list of posted translations in your language, it may be very simple. In the case of Spanish, I happen to know it is not. We had a lovely Spanish translator for many years. I understood that after she had left, she had not posted her translations under the translation list on the forum.

In this case, where do we find the older translations? On the actual site of your language?

Once we know which Heavenletters have been translated, what system would you use? This may not yet apply to all languages because there are not yet enough of you to get that far, yet, some day you will have enough people.

So once we know how easy it is to know which Heavenletters have not been translated, how will your team proceed?

Thank you for responding here. Thank you for all you do to keep Heavenletters moving forward.

When we look

When we look for a letter in the search area, doesn't all the translations for that letter show up? I think that might be the easiest way. Then, we can just see if that latter is already translated in our native language :)

Thank you, dear Diana, for

Thank you, dear Diana, for your quick reply. In answer to your question, you may be absolutely right. I simply don't know. Will you kindly give the exact link you are referring to?

:)

It's not a link. It's a button on the right superior side of this site - the search button. So, if you place there a number of a heaven letter, it shows up the original text as well as all the translations available! Maybe that is the easiest way to be sure!

Yes, Diana, you are

Yes, Diana, you are absolutely right. This is the way to find out. You could also go to the English Heavenletter and look under translations, but then you risk that it has been translated before since not all translations have been posted there as yet. This goes for Spanish and Turkish and German, and maybe for more languages.

Another difficulty is the numbering between 1700 and 2200. There has been a renumbering and it may be that the titles do not coincide. There may be a difference of 17 or 18 numbers. For example: 1792 old is1776 new. I have made a list of all old/new numbers I came across, and can send it to whoever may be interested.

Dear Luus, I just spotted

Dear Luus, I just spotted your response. Oh, brother. Luus, I was counting on you for a simple solution!

I forgot all about that number-change.

Dear Translator teams, for the present just earmark those misnumbered Heavenletters. Go around them. We're not there yet anyway. We can worry about it when we come to it. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Luus has it all fixed before we get there.

Meanwhile, if any language can get the #1 through #1,000, that will be accomplishing a LOT.

Let me tell you quickly how that number mix-up happened. This was before Theophil who is perfect with numbering and dates. I am imperfect. I make no excuses.

A lovely lovely lady, Annette, unselfishly made the Heavenletter Search we have. She saw my errors and started correcting them -- understandably. Later she was sorry because it was endless. She also saw that at least the errors were consistent in every language, and it would have a whole lot simpler just to leave them and note the errors. We live and learn.

I am going to ask Will about the new upgrade which he has been working on tirelessly, if there is a way for Drupal 9 to do some kind of listing by languages -- what Heavenletters have been translated per language. I hear great things about Drupal 9 and the miracles it can do. I will bet you anything that Will and Santhan can develop such a program, and all that you will have to do is click something whenever want that will give you a fool-proof list of the translated and/or untranslated Heavenletters per language.

Adela and the spanish team...

Hola!

As far as the old unstranslated Heavenletters go, i'm willing to start working on the #1 to #1000 like Gloria suggested. I dont want to neglect the newer Heavenletters though, so how can we organize the work?

I'm willing to go with what it's needed, so please let me know how i can help :)

I'm sorry I didn't answer

I'm sorry I didn't answer your post before! It's so wonderful that you volunteer for the listing of the older Heavenletters! Now we already know that we should wait until the admins work on the upgrading of the program. I admire your strong will and determination Wanda!!!

Dear translators...

Dear translators.

In the case of Spanish translations, Gloria gave the answer. It's easy to find out which H.L were not yet translated, because they are in numerical order. It is also a good idea to look for the number, as it was written in the first reply.

Actually my intention was to continue translating where I left before. The question to Gloria is, May I continue?

If the answer is Yes, then two of the Spanish translator may do that, while the other two, may continue with the current H.L.

It is also a good idea that only one translate the older ones.

I'm also open to any suggestion.

Jaime Rendón

Dear Jaime, thank you for

Dear Jaime, thank you for posting. Much appreciated. Thank you for asking your questions.

I must confess, Jaime, I don't understand what you're saying! Where did you leave off? Why only one translator do the back Heavenletters? Will you kindly make your thinking clearer?

Adela is the Spanish team leader, and she is putting her whole heart and soul into this.

Here is the current schedule, am I right?.

Jaime -- Saturday and Sunday

Adela - Wednesday and Thursday

Wanda - Fridays and Mondays

Raul -- the E-Book at present

The priority is sending out the new Heavenletters. We are missing Tuesdays right now. Emilia will be here soon.

.Is this your understanding, dear Jaime? Are you taking care of Saturday and Sunday Heavenletters?

The way I see it, querido, regarding the back Heavenletters, if a translator who desires to translate more than the two scheduled Heavenletters a week has the freedom to translate earlier untranslated Heavenletters as he wishes.

How to schedule the back Heavenlettes is something that needs to be worked out. There is a need to schedule so there is no duplication of translations.

Wanda offered to figure this out by hand. Wanda, I don't know how much you were able to do, but maybe we have a start? Wanda stopped because we believe that there will be a way with the website upgrade for this to be taken care of automatically.

A previous Spanish translator, to the best of my knowledge, did not post her translations on the forum. Her translations were published and sent out, however.

Thank God for this Spanish team, and thank you for being here, Jaime. Looking forward to more from you.

Dearest Diana, is there a

Dearest Diana, is there a way where we can see all the translated Heavenletters of any language?

I am looking for a simpler easier less-time consuming way! Some way where we can see a complete list at once glance without having to do it one by one. When we are speaking of thousands of untranslated Heavenletters, one by one seems arduous.

Please know I am trying to find a more efficient way. Hang on, sweetheart, and let's see what else we can find out.

Maybe Luus knows. I will ask William if he knows a way as well or can find a way.

We will get everything sorted out!

Loving you,

Gloria

For spanish...

Hi all!

Indeed, Diana's way seems to be the way i find that lists all of the translations of a certain Heavenletter. However, like you say Gloria, it's difficult having to go one by one.

For example, in the spanish forum i see we have 41 pages of translated Heavenletters, but i cant find a way to get a full list without having to go page by page to see. It's doable but very time consuming to have to go one by one to get all the names and numbers of the translated Heavenletters.

If there's anything i can do to help, dont hesitate to ask :)

Dear Diana, the good news

Dear Diana, the good news about 41 pages is that we have a lot of Spanish translations!

Thanks, dear one.

Here's a possible help

I can't get the screen print to work right here, but, I found a page that says how many posted translations there have been in any language you choose and when the last post was put there and how many are newly posted.. This is followed by a list of the posted Heavenletters.

This page could help us somewhat.

How I get there is to click on Heavenletters forums on the right margin.

Scroll down to where it says translations and find your language.

It gives a whole list of all the translated Heavenletters in your language. It’s an easy to follow list. If every translator has posted every Heavenletter he or she translated, this should be accurate.

In some cases, someone else posted for the translator. Just so you know.

Everybody, we'll see if this can be some help. What do you think?

I meant to say that I can

I meant to say that I can make a list of all Spanish translations by number, but there are over a thousand Heavenletters translated ... so too much work for me, I am afraid, and for you translators.....fourthousand more to translate!!!!! Go for it!! :-)

Keep cheering everyone, dear

Keep cheering everyone, dear Luus!

Spanish: I volunteered..

Hello Luus and everyone!

As far as the translated spanish Heavenletters go, i told Adela that i volunteered to make a list of the ones we have so far. Once i'm done we'll need help though, because so far i've found a few heavenletters with the same number but that are totally different and i cant find the right number for it, so some things will need sorting. But we'll cross that bridge when we get to it lol.

I started from the last page (41) so Luus, if you want to help me, you can start with page one and we'll meet in the middle ;)

Hugs, and we'll keep in contact .

Wanda

I am constantly amazed and

I am constantly amazed and amazed again at the goodness and willingness of volunteer translators. You are indeed angels.

Wanda, before you go in that direction, wait until we hear from the tech angels. They may have an answer coming up. I don't know that for a fact, yet I'm almost positive that they will have some ideas. The tech angels are as marvelous as the translators are, only they may well have some tricks up their sleeves that we don't.

Now, who started all this anyway?!!! I did.

Have a nice weekend.

God bless you.

Wanda, if you can give me

Wanda, if you can give me the double numbers that you found, I will try to correct them.
It seems that at the time there were many Spanish translators and the communication may not have been too good for there are also Heavenletters which have been translated into Spanish by two different translators. I did not know what to do with them and left them there.

I am very sorry but I would love to help you but do not have time nor energy to help you with the list, but since Will says the upgrade will make it easy to see which Heavenletters have not been translated, you better put not too much effort in it.

Dearest Luus, thankfully, no

Dearest Luus, thankfully, no one has to do the list by hand. That you will fix the mixed-up numbers is a huge blessing.

I am quite sure that a long-time translator, Cecilia, did not post on the forum all or any of the Heavenletters she translated into Spanish. Her translations were published and sent out to subscribers, so there will be a way to figure this out. A way always comes!

Thanks for everything.

Loving you, Gloria

Dear Luus, I would like to

Dear Luus, I would like to help with the double translated Heavenletters in spanish, if you send me both translations I will try to see the way to make it in to one.

Love,

Adela

Hi Luus! Would you like me

Hi Luus! Would you like me to post them here or in a private message?

I've also found some Heavenletters with multiple translations. If you want, i can also send you what i have, Adela...

Hi Wanda, yes, please send

Hi Wanda, yes, please send them to me in a private message, and the Heavenletters with mutiple translations to Adela.
Thanks a lot.

Luus: all sent!

Luus: just sent you the Heavenletters with the same numbers, and sent Adela the ones i found with more than one translation.

Let me know if i can do anything else :)

What a peach you are,

What a peach you are, beloved Wanda!

Yes

I haven't found another way yet. The less good part, is that the listing runs acordingly to the posted by the translators. I mean, they are not runing strait like1, 2, 3... there may be 4 and then 1 and then 6... but we can see if a determined letter has been translated. That's what we have for now!

Gloria, I couldn't understand what you talked above, about the numbering of the older letters. I could understand it wasn't correct, right? So I think that's not a problem yet, because we have so much to do until we get to the 1st thousand!

Dearest Diana, the list you

Dearest Diana, the list you are talking about is nerve-wracking. Yes, too scattered.

I'll give you a short-cut to the place I'm talking about:

1. First click this link:

http://heavenletters.org/spiritual-community-forums.html

2. Scroll down until you find Portuguese.

3. Open Portuguese.

4. Now you will see a list of Portuguese Heavenletters. It will show what you have posted and what other Portuguese translators before you have posted. It will show (should show) Nelia, Nuno, and Luis.

It’s an easy to follow list. If every translator has posted every Heavenletter he or she translated, this should be accurate. Has everyone in the new Team Portuguese posting there?

This is a good time to find out if everyone on your team has known to do this.

Very soon Santhan and William will let us know what they can do with the upgrade that will make this all simple and easy. I know they have some good treats ahead of us!

God bless the translators and programmers!

On the new site, I should be

On the new site, I should be able to generate a list for each language of all the Heavenletters that don't have translations. That would make it easy to find older messages that need translations.

On this site, I believe you have to go to each individual Heavenletter to check the translations page, here's the one for #5067 : http://heavenletters.org/node/39023/localizernode
That or go to the page that lists the Heavenletters for the language, and look for gaps in the Heavenletter number.

This is an answer to a

This is an answer to a prayer! When we have the upgrade, then it's a cinch for you and Santhan and the program Drupal to make this easy for translators in all languages.

Do you realize how wonderful this is, Will? The hours and energy this program will spare all the Heavenletter translators!

Do you have an estimate when the upgrade will be ready? I realize a lot depends on many factors, but can you make a rough guess?

You know, Will, it's really true that God works in wondrous ways. He has sent us two fantastic Drupal tech angels. We'll have to have more photos of you and Santhan and add wings!

Blessings and gratitude,

Gloria
