What Do You Say "So What!" To?
Do you realize that you live on Earth where birds are singing, moisture is in the air, and growing greenery rises to the sun, and each day heralds the dawning of life? What is there to be unhappy about when such a creation as this exists? My children, you are in the Garden of Eden. Lush is the universe, and there is nothing you have to do but receive. All has been given to you to wrest joy from. You do not even have to wrest joy, just be open to the possibility of it. Be open to the possibility that joy is inviting you right now to come to her. Joy has her arms out wide to receive you. Perhaps you have whizzed past.
There is a hush to the universe. Perhaps your thoughts have been racing and unmindful of the hushing silence of creation. Perhaps the unsilence you hear is no more than your own thoughts whirring at breakneck speed, preventing you from hearing the silence of creation, the surging silence of creation on this day of innocence that stands quietly before you, like angel wings opening to delight you.
What if today is really an angel before you who unfolds her wings?
What if you have misunderstood everything until this day?
Many times you have thought you were serving a life sentence on Earth when you were really being given the chance of a lifetime. You have your life before you right now. Pick up your life today as if it were a bejeweled crown of magnificence, fit to your measurements. Do not be miscreant about life, for it is the treasure of the world, and the treasure is yours.
Life has been handed to you on a golden platter. The sun is a golden platter pouring golden light upon you, aimed at you so that you may see the remarkable creation spread before you, creation meant just for you to enter joyously. Enter this day. The rainbow gates are wide open. There is no closing them.
Perhaps you are feeling now that this beauty I speak of is all well and good and you say, "So what? So what, God, if there is all this hushing silence and golden sun and angel wings? So what? I'm here on Earth, and I tell you it's no picnic. Garden of Eden indeed! So what, all the beauty and light? So what, all the possibilities? I'm nailed here. I can't get away. There is no breathing place away from here. I cannot hide and yet I am not in sight. Who sees me, God, really? I'm just another thing in the way, and You speak to me in melodious words, while my heart aches. What does beauty such as You describe have to do with me? I am being honest, God. I don't want placebos or pretty words. Help me now."
I suggest to you that you reverse your thinking. Instead of saying "So what" to the beauty, say "So what" to the disturbances of it. A great gift of life has been tendered before you. Say "So what" to the wrappings. Say "so what" to the problems. Toss them aside as you would an apple peel. Say "so what" to obstacles. Say "So what" to rainy days. But do not say "So what" to beauty and the creation of My heart that I have set before you.
Perhaps you will find a way to say, "Thank You, God! Thank You for life. Thank You for teaching me to see the beauty and to say "so what" to those ravaged thoughts that would interfere with my appreciation of Your handiwork."
Do you hear Me now? I am saying to you, "So what, everything! I am here!"
