You start tomorrow today. Today you set up tomorrow. How do you treat today? How do you welcome it? As you serve it, you will be served.

Serve with splendor, and you will have a splendid day.

Treat your days with respect.

Days don't hassle you. You hassle them.

You wrest them as though they were something to fend off.

Look forward toward today, and set the tone for tomorrow. Tomorrow is an extension of today. It is like you pull tomorrow after you.

Today is the day you write on, and it is printed tomorrow.

You take days for granted. Or perhaps you even dread them. You think they take their toll on you, but you take your toll on them. Sometimes you are not kind to your day. Yet each day is a special gift to you, a remarkable slate for you to write on.

A day does not last forever, nor does it ever leave. It is etched somewhere in your heart and marked on the sky of the universe.

Your day is important to Me. How you look at it matters. How you value it matters. The day before you is My expression, and so are you. I would like you two to get along.

There is no time, that is true, and yet there is today.

Today is an increment of your life.

Give yourself a raise.

Bless this day, for it is a blessing.

It is not here to trip you up. It is here to exalt you.

Each day the sun greets you as it rolls over the hill of the world. It shines on you.

Now shine back. Return the courtesy.

A day descends for you to lift it up.

Today is a canopy under which you reign.

Today is your shelter.

Today is the field you walk in.

Today was made for you, exquisitely made for you.

Do not wound the day. Glorify it.

Do not knock it. Honor it.

Avail yourself of this day I made for you and present to you. It is My presentation to you. The stage is set, and all you have to do is walk on. All the planes of life are waiting for your entrance. You will never have a finer audience. And right now, today, is your finest moment.

You have had so many days that you have taken them for granted, or even ignored them. You have neglected them, neglected your appreciation of them.

Perhaps everything that happens in your day is worthwhile. Even those things you anguish over.

Acknowledge that today tells you a story. You wrote it and you witness it, and you long to understand it. Understand that it is progress. Understand that everything has fit just right. Complications exist in your thought. Everything else is simplicity of occasion.

Consider today a great event or a precursor to it. Today is a great occasion, for you and for the world. Today your thoughts take a new turn. The turn you take is fortuitous. The turn you take is in your thinking, or in your stopping thinking.

You are an usher in the world, and your task is to let everything in, to honor what you consider dishonorable as well as that which you esteem. You are not a guarder but an usher. You are not a watchman but a receiver of deliveries. You do not discriminate here. You welcome all the packages, those that appeal to you and those that do not. You are the receiver. What you receive will sort itself.

Do not rate your day. Love it instead. Love today, and you will lead a life you love.
