Hi everybody

Need help with this sentence... ". You can do a jig on a dime..." it´s from the heavenletter number 5165 and the paragraph is this:

This is across the board. If you have been capable of hurting others and yourself, you can become a blessing, a hero, an influence for what is holy. You can do a jig on a dime, and you can jog. Your heart can reach the stars. You can hit the high notes. There is no limit on you but the limits you arbitrarily set. You are the mover of your own life. Without exception. Regardless of what may have befallen you in life, you are the decider of the next step you take. No one makes you good, and no one makes you bad. Don’t buy that story. Others certainly have contributed, but no one makes you do ill or good. You are the maker of you.

Thank you :)

Beloved Nuno, jig is a fast

Beloved Nuno, jig is a fast lively dance.

Tell me if this makes it clearer:

Instead of do a jig, what if we say: "You can dance a jig on a dime..."

The connotation of on a dime means very fast. A dime offers so little space, the action would have to be fast.

I will change the word do to dance.

Be sure to let us know if this still doesn't make sense, dear translator.

ok

Yes Gloria!!! Now i understand what it means :) Thank you

Nuno, a dime is the smallest

Nuno, a dime is the smallest American coin in size. It is worth a tenth of a dollar and is slightly smaller than a penny, which is worth a hundredth of a dollar, because it used to be made of silver. Not any more but it's still the smallest, which is the point of the expression. I don't have one in my pocket to measure but a penny is about 19 mm and a dime might be 18.

ok

ok thank you :)
