Hello Everyone
Missed you.. :)
Need help with the following sentences (those in different color), PLEASE:
That’s all the other is as well, a voice on the phone, someone sitting there and not doing a great job. Must you take it personally? Must you get up in arms?
You don’t have to continue on the phone with a customer service representative, nor do you have to hang up on them. You can get off.
Shoddy service representatives, representing a company or representing themselves, are not the making or undoing of you.

We've missed you, too,
We've missed you, too, beloved Oldooz. Stay close, okay?

Get up in arms means like "start a war." We don't have to get angry or upset.
You don’t have to continue on the phone with a customer service representative, nor do you have to hang up on them. You can get off.
This means you can get off the phone. It is implied nicely! Not just hang up.
Shoddy service representatives, representing a company or representing themselves, are not the making or undoing of you.
As someone who has gotten really upset with customer service from time to time, why do I? Is how someone talks to me so important? Does my whole being depend on it? Customer service, good or bad, why should it make my day wonderful or why should it take away from a good day. Am I so dependent upon customer service that it can put me in a good mood to undo a good mood?
Please ask more if this isn't all clear, dear Oldooz.
Loving you,
Gloria
Dear Oldooz, To "get up in
Dear Oldooz,
To "get up in arms" is to protest vigorously or vehemently.
To "get off", I think, simply means to end the phone call in a way that hurts no one.
"The making of you" does not sound quite logical in this sentence; shoddy service can hardly be the making of you. The intended meaning could be that the quality of service is not the making or undoing of you.
Does this help, dear?

Thank you, Gloria and Jochen.
Your explanations clarified the meaning. You both do always help.
