Heaven #4790 Slaying the Dragon

Dear Gloria,

in http://www.heavenletters.org/slaying-the-dragon.html

(1) parag.8
" Ego takes offense. It is ego that thinks it has to protect you and then, ego, sells you down the river. It cheers you on and pats you on the back and steers you to defense and attack. Ego runs around, spurring you on to retaliate."
Are the two commas before and after "ego" ("and then, ego, sells you down) purposely put there?

(2) parag. 9
"What is retaliation but a futile attempt to show someone or the world that you are mighty. “So there, take that, “ you pull out the gloves and say For a moment, it may seem you have shown your strength, but what you may really have shown is your underbelly."

Two quotation marks are open, one before "So there, take that, and another one is opened before "you pull". If we close the first segment "So there, take that", will the rest of the sentence come after the comma of "So there, take that"?

And why is there a capital F beginning For a moment.

OK I think I got it: "So there, take that", you pull out the gloves and say(period). For a moment , it may seem...

Pure typos. Thank you so

Pure typos. Thank you so much for your attention to detail and astuteness.

1. It is ego that thinks it has to protect you, and, then, ego sells you down the river. It cheers you on and pats you on the back and steers you to defense and attack.

2. What is retaliation but a futile attempt to show someone or the world that you are mighty? “So there, take that," you say and pull out the gloves. For a moment, it may seem you have shown your strength, but what you may really have shown is your underbelly.

Without your attention to detail, these would have slipped by us.

I fixed them, Normand.
