HEAVEN #3612 The Scent of Lilies

Sometimes I wish God would not make the life of a translator so difficult. I can't make sense of on their behalf, on their behalf on behalf of you in the following paragraph:
Before springtime, before the lilies grew from the ground of Earth this year, they were already eager for the day when they would be offered by My hand to you on their behalf, on their behalf on behalf of you. How thoughtful are the lilies of the field. Long have they desired to be in a bottle sitting on your makeshift desk. The lilies are royalty, presented to you.
Could someone please explain? Thanks a lot.

Is the first "it" referring" to desiring a sign for God, while the second "it" would be referring to "desiring the gift", or are both "it" referring to the sign?

I believe the antecedent for it is sign in both places. Do you think it would be necessary or better to say:
A sign from Me was on its way to you before you you desired it. The sign was presented to you before you knew your desire it.

I think it would be better to repeat the word "sign". Anyway, in french, whenever there is a risk of ambiguity, we prefer to reuse the word that is referred to. French is very demanding in clarity.
P.S. 1 Luus and I would appreciate your answer on the "on their behalf, on their behalf on behalf of you" topic.
P.S. 2 If I don't step onto a burried mine in Cambodia or Laos (?!??), I will surely tell you about that journey in those very special countries. But I love the Earth and its people, no matter the countries.

The lilies accept on our behalf. It is on their behalf, too, of course. Is it that the lilies reflect their joy and we receive it?

This is what my friend
This is what my friend telles me: when someone speaks "on behalf of" they are speaking in favor of or speaking for someone. As an example; The lawyer spoke on behalf of his client. In this case the lawyer spoke in favor of or for his client.
It makes it a bit more clear, but dear Gloria, we need a synonym for "on behalf", for it may be clear to you, but for us foreigners it's abakadabra.

On behalf of/for is pretty straightforward to understand, but the triple repetition of "on behal of" in the sentence : "on their behalf, on their behalf on behalf of you" makes it a little cloudy in its self reference. Could you paraphrase this sentence?

I normally do not tangle with the words Gloria is given...I leave it for her, however,......this is a stickler.
This is what I think these words mean...
"Before springtime, before the lilies grew from the ground of Earth this year, they were already eager for the day when they would be offered by My hand to you on their behalf, (God is giving you the lily FOR THEM) on their behalf (representing them for you) on behalf of you (in the interest of you)."
