HEAVEN # 2745 God would do a song and dance

I was going to translate this title literally, when I noticed that 'a song and dance' in the dictionary is explained like this: if you make a song and dance about something, you behave as if it was worse, more important, more difficult etc. than it really is.

So what might be the right interpretation for this expression?

Cara Paula, I am sure it was meant in the meaning you first thought -- God would do anything to get your attention. He would even sing and dance. He would do anything!

There is a little connotation to the dictionary definition that isn't quite so lovely.

My dictionary (Webster's) defines "song and dance" primarily as "a theatrical performance combining singing and dancing".Yes, it can have other connotations, but, of course, God means it in the most positive way. In this case, I believe, it reflects His sense of humor. It certainly makes me laugh!
