I have finished proofing Heavenletters #3532 to #3541. I remember reading somewhere that you have months of Heavenletters ready to go. The last one in Heavenletters Listing in Administrative Tools is #3541. Do they reside in the database? When you get the time...no rush.

You are the perfect person who has come at the perfect time. You have offered yourself fully to help with Heavenletters in whatever way is needed, even on proofing.

Yes, we have months of Heavenletters in advance, but that does not mean they are ready to go! Here's how it works:

Every morning, I write down what I hear from God. I send this fresh Heavenletter to Theophil who puts it somewhere and gives it the right number. He can be counted on. I can't be counted on. When I was keeping track, I made terrible mistakes with the numbers. As I remember, sometimes I even typed the wrong year. I might have put the wrong month, certainly the wrong day on occasion. Certainly, I'm not the right person to be doing the numbers etc.

When I send a fresh Heavenletter to Theophil, I well may not have even reread it once. Sometimes I do check the new Heavenletter right then and there and catch some typos etc. Still, I definitely need to go over it again at a later date. This is months later in the progression.

Usually, about two weeks before a Heavenletter is to be published, I review it and apply myself to proofing it before I listen for the day's new Heavenletter. I proof the older one that I previously sent to Theophil. I send it again now proofed and with a title.

As you can imagine, I am eager to get down to listening for the new Heavenletter. I am eager to get out of left-brain thinking and into right brain, to get away from the detail of proofing to the unboundedness of what God is going to say.

When I proof, this is the sort of thing I find:

Misspellings

the same word repeated right next to itself like an and and.

Sometimes I catch I have typed the word was when I meant the word way. I noticed in a forum post I made today (Friday) I had typed the word question when I meant to type quotation.

Too often I rush through the proofing process as well and miss things. That's how people like Jochen, Theophil, and you find typos to catch!

Each day a new Heavenletter is published, and each day I send Theophil a newly proofed Heavenletter, a Heavenletter now with a title. These are the Heavenletters you see under Admin Tools. These are the Heavenletters seemingly ready.

My proofing is not a sure thing. I would much rather that errors be caught before the Heavenletter is sent out, and I am so glad you will do that.

Nancy, an obvious typo would be Budda instead of Buddha. Sometimes what may seem like an error to one person may be a style preference to another. An example is that I tend to use closed punctuation rather than open punctuation. Paragraphing is also a personal choice I make.

Margaret who so ably proofed the Heaven book had been head of a college English department in a college. She was far more knowledgeable than I was and much more precise. I have to confess there were times I wanted kept in what I already had. Right or wrong, I wanted it left the way it was. Sorry, Margaret!

Nancy, I do want you to feel free to ask questions. Wil you mind giving me (us) an idea of typos you find? I want to be sure we are of the same mind. Will you kindly post projected changes, the ones beyond spelling and such, so we can take a look together and get others' input as well? I don't seem to be able to let go of it yet but hopefully soon.
