Sometimes your ideas become God Almighty. You are so sure that your concepts are absolute. You believe, therefore, you are right. Be wise to your beliefs. Be on to them. They are suspect.

Whoever comes to you, whoever asks something of you, whoever knocks on your door, whoever calls you on the phone, whoever bumps into you at the store, they are seeking Me. All who come to you will be making excuses about why they do, but they come before you in their desire to find Me. They are looking for Me through you. They hope above hope that somehow you will purvey Me to them.

Why not? Why not give everyone a sample of Me? What do you think a smile is? A kind word? A caring? You are handing a glimpse of Me to another. You deliver Me to another, not them to Me.

Whether you seek Me consciously or not, I seek you. It is like I am panning for gold. In My search for the loveliness of your soul, I never get tense or edgy as you may do while panning for gold, for I know exactly where the gold is, and I know with the confidence borne of God that I will find it and claim it for My Own. This is not selfishness on My part.

You are an investor in life. You half-invest. You welcome life at the same time as you turn it away. You want and you don't want.

You are the same with death. You long for it, and you hide from it. You run away from it.

As you look at death, so you look at life.

You do not always deal well with change.

All of life is a transit from one moment to another. All is in transition. You slip from one moment to another. Your body changes minute by minute according to other changes. You are never the same, and yet you crave to be the same, as if a moment ago were better than this one now.

There can never be a time that you fall from My grace. You can fall from a high mountain into a chasm in the earth, and I will catch you. You can fall into a deep depression, and I will lift you. You can fall from the heights of fame into the depths of infamy, and I will be there. You cannot fall from My grace or My grasp.

You make excuses to come to Me. No excuses are needed. You make no excuses for breathing air or drinking water. You do not justify your need for them. Your need is a given. It is natural to breathe and to drink. It is also natural to come to Me, to catch up to where you already are. Get over here, and wait not for a reason. Tumble headlong to Me. Don't putter. Don't study the situation. Just come.

How can I not be pleased with you? I see well.

It is you who is not pleased with yourself.

It is you who finds fault, not I.

If you did not find fault, you would not make fault.

Let go of fault, and you will be more of what you are.

Oh, the glance of fault — let it go! The superiority of fault. No less superior is the fault you find in yourself — let it go! Enough faultfinding! It leads you nowhere.

Be a joy-finder. Be pleased. Be pleased.

Laugh at yourself a lot.

But do not mock yourself.

Make yourself true.

How long you have searched for the love of your life! The lengths you have gone to! The time you have spent. All the effort, all the primping, all the book-reading, all the advice, all the attention you have put on finding a man or a woman who will sustain your heart forever. And some of you succeeded, and more of you did not.
