HEAVEN #1838 He Who Abides within You November 16, 2005

God said:

You would love to know your destiny. You would love to know what you were born for. I tell you every day in many ways. You were born to be great, and that means to love. This is what you were born for.

To be great, all you have to do is to reveal your Greatness. If you cannot see your Greatness for yourself, then reveal others' Greatness to them. Perhaps that is your Greatness. Oh, Beloveds, let it be great to be.

You have so much compassion for all those in distant lands who seem ravaged by life. Yet right around you, perhaps in your own house, there are those who long for a tiny glimpse of love. There are bewildered hearts, aching for one word of love. There are hearts seemingly turned to stone. Because their need for love has been frozen, they, most of all, need a kind word or glance from you.

You do not know where any word or tiny act of yours begins or ends.
You do not know the destiny of your words nor of your love. Be assured, every word, thought, action of yours resounds around the world. It may never stop. It may keep going through all Eternity. Your level of consciousness affects all. It affects you. It stirs the world.

You are not bound by anything. You are not bound by even your level of consciousness. Your level of consciousness is not an albatross you wear around your neck. Your level of consciousness depends on you and your interpretation of it. Self realization is Self realization. It is not a medal pinned on you. It is not a fortune found in a far distant land. It is yours right now, and it is yours to give.

Even if you feel you stand at the foot of a mountain right now, you can start climbing. No one needs to give you a shove. You are the one who moves your own feet. Do not lend so much importance to how far you have yet to go. Never mind either how far you have come. Just keep climbing up. Keep your attention high. You are avidly on your way to Me. You are on your way in your awareness. Self Realization is realization of Who abides within you. Surely you are more than a stick figure that parades itself around.

You are a carrier of God and that means love. This is not a burden to carry. Carrying light is no burden at all. If you feel burdened, it is because you are not sharing and shedding the light that is yours.

Love is the only light to shed. Explanations of light and love don't serve. Definitions don't serve. Only the sharing serves. Serve wordlessly, and see what happens.

When you stir a soup or stew on the stove, you don't have to say:
"Soup or Stew, I am stirring you." When you ladle the soup into bowls, you don't have to say: "Soup or Stew, I am ladling you into bowls." Nor do you have to say to those who hold their bowls up to you, "I am ladling food into your bowl." Simply serve it. Serve it the way you insert a coin into a candy machine with joy.

Love is love. Light is light. No one need know whose hand placed it there. The importance is in the placing.

As you notice yourself less, you will realize more of your Self. As you notice your needs less, you will step closer to the top of the mountain.

There comes a point in your climb where you do not attend to your own legs much at all. They are not your concern. You do not examine them. You do not ask them how they are doing. You just keep moving them, and you just keep going up.
