What Difference Does a Difference Make?
When there is conflict, it is always a misunderstanding. If there were understanding, there would be no conflict. There would be only differences. There are always differences. Differences are not really of much consequence. What difference does a difference make? One person may be tall, another short. One loves a certain movie, and another does not. One speaks French, another Portuguese. One has brown eyes, one has blue. But no matter what color the eyes, when eyes look into another’s, the soul is seen, and all is well. Eyes are meant to meet. They are meant to look deep and see the ocean that resides there. See beneath the blue and brown. See beyond the colors. See the colorless. Enjoy both the colorful and the colorless clarity of soul.
With conflict, differences become monumental. They escalate. Eyes avert. How odd this is.
What could be more wonderful than differences? Who would not seek them rather than sameness? Who would want to eradicate differences from the face of the Earth? Not I. I bless them. I nurture all alike.
I say: Let differences be put aside. Let differences not add up. Or let them be added up as delightful offerings. Let differences mount mountains of hearts and let differences, the abundance of them, their splendor, their specialness – let them be adored.
In the same breath, I say: Let differences be enjoyed, and let them be unseen. Let the unity of heart be seen. Let universality rise. Let differences be only the little details they are. Remove borders, for they blind you. Take down fences. They can only give the illusion of separateness.
What a waste of time and energy to dispute differences, to call one difference better than another.
When you make a soup, the soup benefits from all the ingredients. Who can say that the carrots are more important than the potatoes? Which ingredient from a wonderful soup would you choose to remove? Leave in all the flavors. They can only add to the richness of the soup.
Will you kindly embrace superficial differences and blend them into your heart?
Will you not love one another as I do love you? Which of you is less, and which of you is more? Not in My eyes. Not in My Will. I smile on all. All are My one child. Blond or brunette, you are Mine. Regardless of anything, you are Mine, and you are My pleasure. Who would not adore that which gives Me so much joy? It is beyond My understanding that you would welcome one child of Mine and not another. I cannot fathom it.
Look at the flowers I have planted. Love the roses, and love the daisies. And if you are a rose, love the daisies and love the daffodils. They are flowers too. The world would be bereft without them. Who would not be sad without daisies and daffodils. Who would want only roses? You would even miss the brave dandelions. Each flower serves a purpose in the universe, just as each Human Being serves. Do not be quick to discard any flower in the universe of God. There is no hierarchy except in the mind of man. Otherwise, hierarchy does not exist.
Do not even believe that there is a hierarchy of angels. Humankind likes that kind of explanation. In Heaven, there is no first, and there is no last. All are My favored, angels and flowers as well as every soul on Earth and in Heaven. Come from a greater perspective, beloveds, and you will feel the pulse of the universe, and you will ride high on the shoulders of love.
