There Is More to the Ocean Than the Waves
You cannot depart from Me. You can depart from ignorance, and that's about it. Departing from ignorance is pretty much the same as accepting My grace.
When you accept My grace, you no longer pout. You no longer agonize over what you now may agonize over. You question less. You look to weave more than you look to study the warp and the woof of the weaving on the loom.
You are a weaver of My love. That is your task at hand. Weave. Weave through the day. Weave through the night. Weave a rug of My love that everyone may walk on. Weave an overhanging of My love that protects everyone from disturbance, even though disturbance is only disturbance and nothing more. What happens in life is that the flow of love within you seems to get interrupted. Of course, you interrupt yourself. You distract yourself from that which exists. Only in your awareness do you depart from the chosen path of love. You depart in order to return.
It is like when you have left your purse somewhere, you go back to find it. And then you are glad to find it. What carelessness was it that you left it? What joy it is to return to find it!
Most of the time you do remember your purse, and you do hang on to it, and yet you play ping pong with yourself wondering if you will misplace your purse, and so you imagine, and so you bop yourself along in life, watching your back and watching in front of you and from side to side, and so you depart from yourself. Seemingly, you depart from yourself. As if you could. You do indeed play a game of As-If.
As if you could be anywhere but where I say you are.
You do not need to batten yourself down in life. You do not need to hold yourself down nor hold yourself back. All you have to do, My lovely beloveds, is to allow yourself to be. The waves you ride do not have to toss you hither and yon. Ride your surf board, beloveds, with equanimity.
You are like an ocean liner that rides through the waves seamlessly. The ocean liner does not look back to where it was. It has pointed itself in the direction to which it wants to go. It sails forth. Ocean liners do not trudge. They sail. You are the sailor of a ship that sails. All hands on deck. And yet there is more to the ship than the deck. There is more to the Ocean than the waves. Ride the waves and embrace the Ocean.
And what is your hurry to reach the shore? The more you hurry, the more you lollygag around. The more you fuss, the more you spin your wheels.
You are not a steam engine that goes on one track back and forth. You are an ocean liner in the Ocean. Where is there to go? What is there for you to do but dip in the Ocean Itself? The Ocean carries you. It carries you through thick and thin. Despite all your strutting, the Ocean carries you, and the Ocean takes you somewhere. It takes you back to your Self that you have perhaps been crowding out as if you had another or better choice. You can choose now or later. In any case, your answer is assured.
I know you have felt rudderless in life, but that is only because the Expanse of the Ocean is so vast, and you forget that you are the Ocean you thought was somewhere far away.
