What good is enlightenment if it is for yourself alone? What good is it if it is something you get? Then it is another accomplishment or possession along with all the others.

You want a dazzling experience. That is understandable. But then what? Then what do you do with the enlightenment you gain?

What is it for? What is your purpose in wanting it? Do you think it is a palliative like ice cream or a new outfit? Do you think it saves you from something or is something you can show off?

Enlightenment is something that it is better to want than to not want, but it is only a step. It is a gift for more than yourself alone. It is not for any person solely. Enlightenment is not like that.

It is not enough to desire enlightenment for yourself alone any more than it is to desire wealth for yourself alone. It really is not fun to have more money than everyone else. After a while, the buzz wears off, and there you are, the same as you ever were only now you have money. You really don't want to be elite. It is not enviable.

You still think that enlightenment is a magic wand waved over you. It was waved over you long ago, and it became part of you, and you have been in denial ever since.

Do not wait for enlightenment to be re-sprinkled on you. It is not something you achieve. Whatever keeps you back from awareness of the light, disband it, and then you will walk through goldenness and you will know your enlightenment.

You are like the miser who has a chest of gold buried under the floor. He has been so penurious he may even forget the wealth he possesses. In any case, if he does not use his cache, he doesn't really have it.

And where have you buried your golden light? On what occasion will you take it out so that you can see it and then shine it on the world eager for it? What do you wait for? The right ball-gown? An invitation from somewhere?

Enlightenment is awareness of truth. That is all it is. The awareness of truth that already is. You already graduated in absentia, but you carried the thought that you weren't graduated until you received your diploma with great fanfare.

Your life is your diploma. You were given it. I created only enlightened beings. Carry the thought with you today that you are already enlightened. You will carry your shoulders higher. You will give more. No one has to know that you are enlightened but yourself. You are the one who has to know it. And then you invisibly spread light with your thoughts that become like blessings.

If you could accept that you are now enlightened, what would you do differently? What is it that would change? Your view of life certainly. Your view of your place in it. Your view of the whole shebang.

When you accept your enlightenment, you will see differently. When you see differently, everything is changed. When you see past the exterior paste to the true jewel inside, what is that but enlightenment. You become enlightened to the truth of existence. Your view of life is not a medal pinned on you. It comes from within you. It can come from nowhere else.

Yes, I gave it to you. I gave you great light within so that you may see. Now all you have to do is to acknowledge and ignite the great light within you and shine it on others so that they may see the great light within them. You are sharers of it. It is yours to share. First reveal it. Reveal it to yourself. Accept your goldenness. I gave it to you. Now give it to others.
