The World Is for Grazing
There is a sun in the sky, and God in Heaven, and My children roam on Earth. The world is for grazing, beloveds. The sun shines, I AM, and you are. That is all there is to know. Stop all this worrying for tomorrow. You tire yourself out with worry for tomorrow. What you can know is that tomorrow will come. There is no end to that which you call time. Live your life today. Like the buffalo, roam when you roam. Graze upon the fields. Tomorrow will come. Tomorrow the sun will rise over the horizon. Whatever you are doing, wherever you are, the sun will rise.
Do not mourn the past. Do not mourn the buffalo. Welcome today, and welcome tomorrow when it comes.
I ask you to worry not. I ask you to enjoy the treasures of life that are present right now. Count the treasures, beloveds. Counting the treasures is worth your time. Counting the beads of future or past woe is not worth your time. It is not worth your heart. Stop worrying now.
Half the time you don't even know what it is that you fear, yet you fear something. Why set your dial to imagined woe. Set your dial to the station you want. The question to ask yourself is: "What do I want? What am I looking forward to?" Drop the subject of what you don't want. Have you perhaps been preoccupied with danger?
Let go of what you don't like, and look forward to what you do like. This is an obvious precept of life, and yet you forget. You may even think that the substance of your life is danger. There is great danger in your wrangling danger, beloveds. Pick the flowers instead. In terms of this image of your life, leave the weeds alone. They don't qualify for your attention. It is well possible that weeds of your life will stop growing when you do not tend to them.
Who invented danger? Who made it an insurance policy? You pay heavy dues to your fearing thoughts about possible troubles that could arise.
Beloveds, what goodness may come to you when you set your intention to goodness? I ask you to bless yourself, and I ask you to bless tomorrow. That is all I am asking. I am asking you to favor your life and you, the beholder of it.
You may mean to keep trouble away by warding it off, and yet you may be signaling trouble to come. You may be inviting it. No matter how many times you may say in ever so many ways: "Trouble, stay away," you are, nevertheless, addressing trouble, and you are getting trouble's attention. You might as well say to a robber: "Here I am. I'm over here. Don't take away my jewels. I keep them in a cupboard in my kitchen where you won't see them. They are mine, not yours. Don't go near them."
When you tell your child, "Don't touch," what does he then want to do? He will jab with his finger in passing because you told him not to.
Trouble is like that. It likes to stick its finger in. Trouble interprets your speaking as an invitation. If you don't want trouble, remove the concept of trouble from your thoughts.
Life will bring you some wonderful things tomorrow. Get a basket ready to collect all the good that is coming your way. Or get a large tote bag or a wagon. Open your heart to all the sunshine that tomorrow will bring you. Welcome tomorrow. Welcome its gifts. The odds are in your favor, beloveds. Odds are that you have cause for happiness coming your way. Picture barrelsful. Picture the treasures that are rushing toward you, and receive. Receive, beloveds.
