The Power of God's Love
Gloria to God:
Dear God, here I am early this morning. There are no further questions from Heavenreaders at this time. The page before me is blank, and there is only You and I.
God:
That is all there ever is, you and I, I and you. And the page is always blank from where you sit. And that is just right. You do not need to know today ahead of time. A day is like air you walk through. A day is like a lane. You do not need to know the curves of it until you get there. A day is like money in your pocket. You just know it's there for you. And like pocket money, you jingle your day.
Your life really is the continuity of one day. You break your life into imaginary lines called time, and you tick them off. Because you go to sleep at night and wake up in the morning, you say it is a new day, but it is only the rolling of the earth. Your life is one continuous day. You mosey along it and pick berries and watch birds.
Alarm clocks. Call them good morning clocks, and you will welcome this little line on your life-long day more.
Gloria:
Do You mean literally that if we did not wake to an alarm, our presumed day would go better?
God:
It would have a better start.
Alarm means danger ahead.
You might just as well have an electric shock wake you from the night's sleep. Or a bird peck your nose. Or a chemical smell awaken you. Or have a whip lash you into wakefulness.
Gloria:
Dear God, when I lived in Florida for one summer, I slept on a cot in a wonderful sun porch with all the windows open. Right outside the window where I slept was a gardenia in bloom, and I awoke every morning to the scent of that gardenia. Is that what it's like in Heaven?
God:
There are no alarms, that is certain. In Heaven, the love that surrounds is like the scent of that sweet gardenia, for love is sweetness. Wasn't that gardenia outside your window loving you with its scent? And weren't you loving it? And what was the difference? You and the gardenia were one.
Gloria:
Is it possible for a human to love the alarm clock, God? I mean, life doesn't always give us gardenias.
God:
It is possible to wake without an alarm clock.
Let a kiss of thought wake you to the continuity of your life.
Gloria:
Did the people on farms love the roosters that woke them?
God:
That depended on how much they wanted to greet the sun. And the farmers went to bed early. Getting up was not so painful.
Gloria:
Getting up in the morning was not wonderful for me until Godwriting. Now I can get up with an eagerness because You are waiting for me!
God, if there were no alarm clocks, would all of human life be better? I think of all the anguish about getting up in the morning multiplied.
God:
Joy in the morning would allow more joy during the day. My children would be more receptive to joy. More ready for it. More attuned to it.
Gloria:
It's like time runs our lives. Schedules. Having to get somewhere on time. Not to be late.
God:
What if My children went by love more than the clock?
What if days were more like Our process of Godwriting right now?
You do not know what is going to come up.
You do not have an outcome in mind.
You do not have to have a topic in mind.
You have trust that I will speak to you and give you words to write.
Let a day be like Godwriting where you are innocently receptive to it. There are no have-to's here, are there?
Gloria:
I am in a fortunate position where I do not have to look at the clock, dear God. I can write until we're done. But I do take a peek every now and then at the word count. When I used to write You in a notebook, then I counted pages.
God:
Even in Godwriting, My children count and measure. You mark those little lines. What if your life did not have those lines? What if you did not count and measure. What if you did not look at the clock or the word count or the number of pages? What if you looked as much to the Guide within? Will you do that? Will you check more with Me and less on the ticking of a clock? Will you check on the rhythm of your heart more? Will you look to follow the beat of your heart where it takes you?
What puts pressure in your life and Who removes it?
Oh, the imagined urgency of time and numbers!
And, oh, the power of love! The power of My love! Accept the power of My love. It will make My children's greatness visible and audible and available. Accept My timing. Accept My abundance. Accept.

Abby to Heavenreaders and Heavenletters:
Dear Friends, I have been so moved by Elsie's questions and God's answers! I keep reading them over and over. They really speak to me.
Love to all, Abby
Tina to Heavenletters:
I am casting a vote for the August 8, 2000 Heavenletter to go in the book. I loved Bev's questions and God's answers.
A friend of mine was inadvertently in the crossfire of a highway chase involving shooting. She is quite shaken up, understandably, but she was not hurt.
I printed the August 8 Heavenletter and am mailing it to her. I have no clue as to her relationship with God, or what she will think of my sending her something like this. But, I'm doing my thing.
It's funny. If I saw advice like this in any other context besides being offered as a quote from God, I wouldn't bat an eye. Actually, I didn't bat an eye at sending her this. But, I do pause to wonder how it will be received.
It's strange how the separation of church and state seems to have gotten so over-generalized that one would pause to wonder whether sharing personal references to and from God is in poor taste!
JUST DO IT!
That's my choice.
Love and Light All Ways, Tina
Polly to Heavenletters:
I have told friends about Heavenletters and have encouraged them to subscribe for 2 weeks free as I did. I told them I felt if we want the world to be a better place, we must play an active part in making that happen. Heavenletters is just that. Hopefully they will subscribe.
Actually, I am giving you a bunch of names and email addresses for trial subscriptions.
I have questions, and I will be asking them.
Thank you for the love you are spreading.
