Spiritual Journey

Beloved Gloria and dear souls, I'm posting here my spiritual journey. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to make me think back to what has led me to be here now. A big hug, Andrea.

1. What in your childhood might have led to your great spiritual adventure now?

I think the example of my mother and my father: my mother incarnated what I'd love to be, instead my father incarnated what I didn't want to be. No judgment by me but only a statement of fact. Now I'm grateful to them for giving me a path, of course in different manners. It took me many many years to conciliate with my father but, at last, now I'm feeling in peace with him (they are still alive). It's been an hard trip but I'm aware that it's been for my good.

2. What do you imagine are the steps that brought you to this place in your spiritual life where you are now? Can you think of some turning points?

I think the main steps were the sufferings in my childhood due to the problems between my parents (they have divorced when I was 17), the encounter with some western esotheric schools (Rosicrucians and Theosophists) that opened my eyes to an hidden world that I had negated for many years due to my very scientific formation. The main turning point has been when I became aware of the presence on Earth of the Kaly Yuga Avatar in the figure of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. This fact completed changed my life and everything went in the right place, even the worst experiences. He is my Guru and I feel Him as God Himself incarnated on Earth.

3. How clear was your path to God?

Before meeting Baba it was absolutely nor very clear but after I met Him everything started responding to a Divine logic.

4. What do you see as some past general influences on you?

I guess the way of living of my parents as lessons of life

5. Were there phrases you overheard or something that someone said to you that you think of and wonder about now?

"Do to others what you'd like to be done to you", "Help ever, hurt never" and the swearwords of my father (I hate them).

6. Looking back, what spiritual factors do you wish you might have had in your life? What would you change, if anything?

I'd like to have had the opportunity to meet Baba much much earlier, and the opportunity to meet more spiritual people (Mother Teresa for example) before they left their human bodies.

7. What steps did you take toward greater closeness with God?

Dialagues, meditation (too little for now), energetic healing therapies (Reiki for example)

8. Where are you now in your spiritual journey?

I don't know; I'm only feeling very blessed to have had the good karma to find a guru in the figure of the present Avatar: I feel that this fact made my incarnating worth of it for sure... no doubt about it.

9. How do you imagine talking and listening to God will change or add to your life? What would you want to happen?

I think it would take me even nearer to my Guru, I'd like to be able to hear His voice inside of me with continuity.

10. What questions are in your secret heart to ask?

Why is it necessary for human beings so much suffering to grow up? Why don't we open up our eyes completely and star immediately a new life?

11. What other questions do you think of that might be good for other spiritually-minded people to consider? What else would you like to say?

How can we be of some help to us an to the others? How can we accelerate the process of growth of humanity?
