Simultaneity
Gloria to God:
Dear Father, Julie voted for the domain name heavensent. It reads nice. This may be one of the those things where you just have to pick, and using it gives it the "being right". I'll have to check that it is available.
God:
Settle it.
A Course in Miracles, Who are Their Pupils? (cont.):
"The world of time is the world of illusion. What happened long ago seems to be happening now. Choices made long since appear to be open, yet to be made. What has been learned and understood and long ago passed by is looked upon as a new thought, a fresh idea, a different approach. Because your will is free you can accept what has already happened any time you choose, and only then will you realize that it was always there. As the course emphasizes, you are not free to choose the curriculum, or even the form in which you will learn it. You are free, however, to decide when you want to learn it. And as you accept it, it is already learned."
Gloria:
Dear God, this is dynamite, profound! It's about destiny and free will, isn't it? The destiny is to come you. The free will is when. How a choice made now isn't a choice made now. It is a choice made long ago that each person contracted with You.
This thing with time and simultaneity fascinates me. I would like to absorb the whole A Course in Miracles all at once. I feel like it's DNA, and in each part is the whole. Like somehow one swallow could give the whole course to me, like it should all be spread out before me and not a piece at a time. I want the whole book in one word! If that were possible, the word would be God, wouldn't it?
God:
Yes. I am the Discovery, Gloria. Flip a hundred million pages, and it is I you find. Go through hundreds of lifetimes, Who is under each stone? Fly to the moon, and Who is there before you?
The simultaneity you sense is Truth. It is Oneness.
Gloria:
God, I feel like I want to absorb all of You, or I want to be absorbed into all of you, and I think You will say it is the same.
God:
It is like a veil. Which way do you through, from this side or that. Do you pull it aside to make an opening for you to go through or do I? Is there a left or a right or anything at all but the Oneness of Me?
The sense of simultaneity and Oneness was seen in the image you had of your having long hair that covered the planet and galaxies. If you convoluted that image, you would find the planets, galaxies inside you.
What is inside, and what is outside? What are the determinants? There is no inside/outside. There are no determinants. There is none. All illusion.
The tree you see, the skin you touch, a sleeping puppy near you — all illusion.
What is your reality? I am.
Separation was the illusion. It still is. Separation made all the seeming parts.
What is existence? I am.
Where you are in the world doesn't matter because the world is not. What geographical location you are in is a sham. What skin you wear, whom you meet. All you meet are you. All you meet are I.
Grammar is an explanation of what is not, an attempt to make the unreal real, to explain relationships. You… I… he… the… them… our…
Language is an attempt — a beautiful one, mind you — but an attempt to express the inexpressible.
Contained in these words of HEAVEN here is an essence of Me. That is what reaches. The words do not. I am the content. The form is nothing.
One reason you like the Internet so much is its simultaneity. It can cover everywhere all at once. It is an illusion of Me and an illusion of you. It is this simultaneity and Oneness that you wish to grasp.
Now, think of this. The internet is My creation to further this very simultaneity and Oneness, to get my children out of a rut into the groove, so to speak.
The internet is like your hair spread out. The internet pulls past into present. It makes space, no space at all. Time, no time at all.
Gloria:
You are saying something big here, God. If only I could grasp it!
God:
You grasp a hint of it. It cannot be contained, Gloria. A hint is enough.
Gloria:
Dear Mother Divine, I feel like I am being pulled into something great — I am running in!
Mother Divine:
Take comfort in the awareness that you are right where you are supposed to be. You fill your contract with God so easily. All you are doing is following a golden line that God set out for you and you agreed to. This golden line shows you the way to your hidden Self. You don't have to grope this line. It is firm and strong. Just follow it with your eyes, and the rest of you comes along. Keep your eyes high to keep it in sight.
Gloria:
Dear God, I wanted to tell you I did my asanas and pranyam this morning.
God:
Very good.
Gloria:
Also creation started to seem simple to me — for a moment. Creation is manifestation. Manifestation is illusion. It is appearance. And creation is all reflection of You. You are expressed in so many ways, but the expressions are all expressions of You. You are beyond the expression. A reflection can only be reflection. You are It.
God:
And you are My reflection as you are My creation, so I am expressed in you.
Gloria:
And now it is not so simple again!
God:
That's okay. You stay simple.
Later…
Gloria:
Dearest God, progress with Jeremy and Lauren in setting up a data base and installing programs so that I can type HEAVEN in Rich Text. Still going round and round with domain names. Sandra suggested heavenquest, heavennetwork, Heavendirect, and a few more. I thought of heavenconnection. Heavensent is not available. Well, dear Friend, what would You like to tell me tonight?
God:
You are making more progress than you realize. And, yes, I did send Jeremy to you.
Gloria:
Jeremy is honest and caring and focussed. He asked me if the writing could be from my imagination. That is certainly a question I've asked myself more than once. Thankfully, there are several things that have convinced me that HEAVEN is Yours!
1. It's so easy. It just flows. My own writing is labored, and takes hours and hours of revision.
2. I've never gotten up early even one morning to write one and a half hours or more for my personal writing.
3. If I ever would do that for my own personal writing, it's hard to imagine that I would keep it up for two years or more, seven days a week.
4. My personal writing has been short stories.
5. Most of HEAVEN isn't my style. Any poetry I ever wrote was concise and rewritten and reworked, certainly not lyrical.
6. When I have thought to "improve" a sentence or so in HEAVEN, I have to put it back the way it was because it was better the way it was.
7. My personal writing has never received such rapt attention from so many good people. No one has particularly wanted to read more.
8. Certainly none of my writing ever influenced or changed anyone's life.
9. When I read over HEAVEN, I am amazed and touched at what You and Mother Divine say. I couldn't possibly think up what You say nor know how to give that much love.
10. Karen says it's You!
God:
And I do too. You would never have the energy to do this yourself.
Gloria:
Dear Mother Divine, what would you like to say?
Mother Divine:
You did start writing this before bedtime, but now it is past. Try to remember to write as soon as you get home. It is not that you must include me in every writing, but if you are going to, then you want to do it earlier.
