Love Is Happening
Find the Truth in what I say. Every Heavenletter is for you, and yet you are not to beat yourself up about anything. It doesn't matter what your past has been. You are in the present now. You are like an apple bobbing up in a bowl of water. You are innocent. Forget the past. Do not recriminate yourself, and do not think I recriminate you.
I am the Loving Parent you always dreamed of. I care very much what you do, and I also love you no matter what you do, no matter what your past has been and what errors you may have made. I know the difference between the imagined past and the present, and I suggest, with all My heart, that you relieve yourself of the past. It is too much to carry around.
Be sure you know that I understand your simple human attachment to the past. It is an attempt to make the relative world have substance when it is illusion. You want to think the past is very important. I know it is important to you, and yet I know that the past, your mindful research into it, holds you back. It would make you its prisoner. It would tie you up in facts and figures, throwing you a sweet grape every now and then. In any event, sweet grapes or sour, the past takes its toll on you. It is over. Be done with it. Let bygones be bygones.
You are the lotus of My heart. You sit upon a water-stream of love. This is a lovely moment of Our love. Our love continues. We stay in place, and yet it is a great adventure We go on. We hold hands. The truth is still waters. The illusion is tumultuous waves over rocks. Nothing has happened, beloveds. Only love is happening, and it is happening right now, and yet it doesn't happen. It just happens to be a constant enveloping awareness. We can say that the glue of love keeps us together, and yet We are not glued. We are free to love.
Do not feel you are losing something when you abandon the past. Still waters are not stagnant waters. The past stagnates the longer you hold on to it. This moment is free-flowing in its stillness.
The past would keep you down. It would immobilize you. Love, which exists in the present moment of stillness, immortalizes you. Catch onto the love train and get on. What is the past to you but a memory? Create a new story, beloveds. Write a new script altogether. Be true to yourself and not the past.
Pick up the past right now as you would leaves in the grass. Build a pyre of love, and burn the past. If you so love the past, then love it enough to let it go. Let it go up in flames of love. Say adieu to the past and open up today.
Love today, and it will be easy for you to let go of the past. Who really wants to keep it when you have a fresh slate today? You previously kept a bushel of apples in the basement. Bring them out into the sunshine. Let them be compost. Do not give much thought to it.
Do not strive hard to let go of the past. Just let go of it. Get your attention on the wonderful foods that are cooking on the stove now. What marvelous concoction are you making? Where will the swirling aroma take you? Keep a fresh pot of today on the stove. Eagerly lift the cover off it. What are you cooking today?
