Before You Rise
When you feel down-hearted, know that this is a mere dip before you rise. It was ever so.
Runners do not stand tall as they wait for the signal for the race to begin. They are poised in a position to spring from. No one thinks this is opposed to running.
Yet when your heart is scrunched down, you are fatalistic about it. You think you and your heart will never rise again. You accept doom, even settle down into it. You may feel you have no choice.
How many times has this happened? That your heart was crestfallen? And how many times has your heart lifted, and you have run forward in a resurgence of life? One hundred times? A thousand? This time is no exception. You will blossom forth. You will lift your head and be like a rosebud becoming a rose.
Do not be in a hurry. Take your non-existent time. You will run again, and you will be a magnificent runner. You will break the ribbon. You will go beyond perceived time, and you will find yourself on a new tier. You may find that your feet no longer touch the ground, for you are in a new dimension. This is a new dimension of thought, and you fly in this new dimension as if you had been flying in it all your life. Of course, you have been.
You are restoring yourself to the mighty hero you always were. Once again you leap tall buildings. You will land wherever you set your compass. Set your compass.
Your compass is not an ordinary compass. It is many-directed. North will no longer be just a land measurement. You will ride a balloon that takes off and coasts in the sky. You will tug at its strings, and you will go higher and higher. You will surpass the imagined Heaven and reach exactly into the center of your heart and never leave again. And you will enfold everyone in the arms of your heart of love.
Your heart is a fine-tuned instrument. Your heart is sensitive. When it feels down, give it some encouragement. Just the way you would water a rose, you will rejuvenate your heart when you nourish it. It will perk up.
What have you been telling your heart? Have you given up on it? Have you cast it to the wolves?
Sing a different tune. Uplift your heart. Recognize it for the vessel of love it is. Let your heart be a cradle you rock gently, and not a boat tossed upon the high seas.
Let your heart be welcomed. Carry it with you always. It will flourish under your attention. Pet it every once in a while. Be glad you have it. Throw it a few bones.
Your heart, yes, your heart, is so vital to you and to the world. Cast your heart upon the waters, beloved. You have one heart to give, and it is yours to give so long as you shall live. Your heart is the commander of your body. It is the kingpin. It is the drummer. Have a heart, beloveds, and let your heart beat, and let it beat loud for all. Let your heart be the beat by which the universe moves. Let your heart be captain of the ship of life and weather every storm, make little of storms, hardly notice storms as your heart makes love in the world predominant.
Well, beloveds, what should your heart on Earth do if not join the human race and succor it?
Have a heart. You do have one. I gave it to you. Let your heart reign in its native love and wisdom.
