You may despair of ever being free of despair, yet you hold despair close to you. Despair is a trick your mind plays. It is a folding crutch that you pull out time and time again to find again and again that it does not support you. Disappear despair and cast your thoughts around the delights that are on their way to you instead. Enough despair. The something more you yearn for exists, or you would not yearn for it. Let thoughts of what you desire dangle before you, not despair.

Bury despair. Give it a good send-off and welcome it no more. Despair makes you feel desperate. Still you let it hound you. Instead, beckon your desires to you. Open your arms wide to all that which you would savor. Enough inclining toward that for which you have no inclination, or so you say. Yet it would appear that you tend toward the negative. that it is the slide you have set yourself on and you slide down it. Despair is a slippery slope that leads you to more despair. Yet you repeatedly go for it.

All the while, there is a ramp called Fulfillment of Desires. Climb onto that one. You will note that it takes you up. It escalates you. It is uplifting.

Perhaps you wait for Me to uplift you up. Look up at Me, and you will be uplifted. Look away, and you feel loss. Look up, and you begin to feel all possibilities. Sometimes you wait to be cheered first, and only then happily look up. Look up first. At the very least, your mind will be off despair.

If life feels tedious, your thoughts have made it so. Think different thoughts. Catch a hold of Mine. Rather than complain or grouse about anything, turn your thoughts to Me, for I bless you mightily. Look up in order to see. Widen your vision. Set your sights high.

Follow the lead of love. Love sets you in a certain direction. Let love become the intention of all your thought. Have the foresight to picture love before you. Love will sneak up on you, for it is a quiet thing, love is. Its silence works wonders. Love is no wonder, but often you are surprised by it.

Despair doesn't surprise you. It has been around a long time. Love has also been around a long time, too, and yet you easily defer to despair. Now, despair of despair. Never have it again. What do you need it for, and what good does it do? On the other hand, you need more awareness of love. The good that love does you do not fully know. Why would you know despair better than you know love? What has despair ever done for you that you should be loyal to it and choose it over love?

Be occupied with love. It will leave you no room for despair. When you are in union with Me, there is no despair to pretend to exist. Love is the Oneness that you seek, and you, unbelievable as it may seem, are the Oneness. Oneness is not elusive. Only your thoughts have wandered on other things and taken you far afield.

Come closer to love. It is as contagious as anything else. Choose what you will give to the world. That which you encounter, you give. Encounter despair, and you spread it. Meet up with love, and love will be widespread. It will take over. There will be an epidemic of love. Isn't it time?

You think it is hard to love, but it is only constraint that prevents you, imposed restraint, self-imposed restraint. What is the purpose of restraint but to restrain? And yet you have willfully chosen restraint over love. Restrain your love no longer. Let the inalienable love in your heart rise so that it may see itself transforming the world. Love alone has the might. Nothing else does.
