Life Made a Contract with Itself

God said:

Life on Earth seems like a mystery to you, yet life unfolds itself the way a rose blooms. Life doesn’t have to know how or when or why or where or anything at all.

Life holds trust. Life knows it is a passing moment and doesn’t hold on tight to itself.

Let life be a flower in the palm of your hand, beloveds. Look at it. Turn it over. Today there is one flower in your hand, and tomorrow another. Life itself marches on and doesn’t look back. Life doesn’t pass on judgments. Life knows it is more than what it appears on any one day.

Life never feels like it is lifting heavy snow with a shovel. Life doesn’t feel chilled by the snow nor does it feel seared by the sun. Nor does life feel like a will o’ the wisp. Life is not an idler. Life knows what it is doing even when it doesn’t know ahead of time. Life kind of walks along its path with its hands in its pockets, whistling a merry tune.

Life is undaunted. It is self-propelling, and so it is steady. It just keeps going on. Life feels no need to prepare itself for what may come. It takes everything in its stride. Life has a great stride. It steps over everything and leaves what it stepped over behind. Life is not caught up in the past nor is it caught up in the future. What is life caught up in? Nothing at all. It is just being life.

It is as if life made a contract with itself just to keep moseying along. Neither rain nor snow halts life nor even gives it pause.

Life is good-natured and noble. It keeps its opinions to itself. It stays out of the fray. Life neither prevents nor delays. Life knows not of dismay. What does life want but to be what it is. Life doesn’t care what outfit it wears today or what it wore yesterday or will tomorrow. Relative life, as you experience life, stays out of the fuss. It is moving forward so dedicatedly that it doesn’t look to see what it has left in its wake. Life is no fool.

Life keeps going with aplomb.

Life does not require praise nor does it mind when it is discounted or slandered. What does life care? It is carefree. Life knows it is new tomorrow. Life is forever new.

We can say that life minds its own business. It glances at what is going on and acknowledges that that is how life is. It doesn’t stop being life. It doesn’t stop going on. Life knows that it is new in every moment. Life itself does not get caught up in any drama. Life does not spend time in the individual movies that many ongoers get involved in. In a sense, life has its nose to the grindstone and does not fiddle around with itself. It knows what it’s doing. Sun or shadow, life keeps its feet to the ground and its eyes to the sun.

Life does not get befuddled. It does not feel that it must investigate itself. Life doesn’t moan or bemoan. Life is impartial, and that accounts for its wonderful attitude.

Life has its mission, and it steps up to the plate. It never gets tired. It just keeps going rain or shine. Even as life moves, it is relaxed. It has no tension because it has surrendered to itself. It makes no demands. It just keeps striding. And, as it strides, it applauds itself for providing such a fine platform for you.

such a fine platform

A platform from which to emulate life, I presume. Moseying for dear life. Dear life, you were probably never taught self-importance. We were and then some. Your lavishness … well, we look at it and enjoy it, but among ourselves it is not allowed to be lavish because there is always a tomorrow (or a next minute) to be taken care of in advance. There are very old wisdom books admonishing us to take no thought for the morrow, but we are still hardly doing anything else. It must be very important for us for some reason, important enough to put up with some semblance of life in order to be able to go on planning, planning, planning. O Life, I will drop the concept of importance and simply be like you, surrendered to myself and putting my nose to the grindstone of ease.

A very special Heavenletter for me. Thanks.

O LIfe, you have given us

O LIfe, you have given us Jochen to write down our deepest thoughts.

"Contact" okay!

Life is making "contact" with me at last. This HL is so pleasant and an easygoing read. I have discovered that after a lifetime of struggling for the search of my SELF and what was/is the meaning of life...I find myself here and now enjoying it all and heavenbound, thank-you! I don't know the reasons for/why....maybe it isn't even important because I am FOUND. No more searching or struggle, I'm riding the crest of the wave from now on! Thank-You God.

Love and Light to all

Hello Friends,

God said life holds trust
And life minds its own business
It just keeps going

Love, Light and Aloha!

Life is no fool

  • Life on Earth seems like a mystery to you, yet life unfolds itself the way a rose blooms. Life doesn’t have to know how or when or why or where or anything at all.
  • Life itself marches on and doesn’t look back.
  • Life never feels like it is lifting heavy snow with a shovel.
  • Life knows what it is doing even when it doesn’t know ahead of time. Life kind of walks along its path with its hands in its pockets, whistling a merry tune.
  • Life is not caught up in the past nor is it caught up in the future. What is life caught up in? Nothing at all. It is just being life.
  • Life is good-natured and noble. It keeps its opinions to itself. It stays out of the fray. Life neither prevents nor delays. Life knows not of dismay. What does life want but to be what it is.
  • It glances at what is going on and acknowledges that that is how life is. It doesn’t stop being life. It doesn’t stop going on.
  • It does not feel that it must investigate itself.
  • It has no tension because it has surrendered to itself.
  • Life is no fool.

But mind is, zapping through its 84,000 stations and programs all the time, always hoping I will latch onto something, always having its hope fulfilled. If everything else fails, there is one sure-fire bait I simply can't resist: dismay. Things that have gone wrong and are going wrong and will go wrong again. Countless ways for the world to not live up to what I rightfully expect of it. Countless occasions for thumbdowns towards a world that could be so much better if only it would listen to me. Tons of those irresistible sweetmeats, long past relish, even past nausea, and no end in sight. I'm sick of you, faultfinding mind with your silly boo and pooh. I want you to shut up. No, don't try to utter meaningful things. Just shut up. You may mean well, you may want to spare me the most dangerous things (listed above), but what you are sparing me is aliveness, aloveness. I intend for you to be still now, just quiet.

And you, my God, I take You at Your word:

We are allowing you to be an original blank slate, not from effort, but from allowance.
