hmmm...ok...i understand

hmmm...ok...i understand there's no advertising (which isn't my intent-rather it's about a sharing w friends) on this site though i know some that have given personal website info and it's been ok...so that being said...my original post, which has since been edited, just wanted to say that i won't be sending emails with "my" daily writings nor posting them here, as i feel it's best to create a blog area where those who wish to stop by and read and/or say hi can whenever, without my copious sends...loving you all my fam and friends...and if i may...?...here's my email in case any are interested and i'll most joyously send the journal/blog address...thanks...namaste...mike:)

Mike, we will miss you.

Mike, we will miss you. Won't you post once in a while? What about your many friends here? Next post you make on this forum, post your link under your name, okay?

Mark, I did mean Mile and wrote your name earlier. I do know who is who. Really. It was like a typo. When you wrote about my mixing you and Mike up, I didn't realize what you meant. I should have, but I didn't.

Blessings and love to you both.

Gloria

Hey mike, you've been the

Hey mike, you've been the glue here! I think (maybe) Gloria might have confused you with me because I was having issues (not problems, no blaming, long story) with things being deleted also. I think she doesn't have time to immerse herself totally and completely in our writings as she has a lot to attend to with the site and all, so she maybe read or typed names to fast.
Is this kind of a promotion for you in a way, your blog? You must be excited about this. You're in the big time! Congrats! markw

Hey, you guys, the

Hey, you guys, the guidelines are clear. If they are not clear, please say so.

No one likes to delete anything anyone has posted. All the postings, with the very rare exception of outright spam, are from the writer's heart. No moderator wants to delete. Moderators 1, 2, and 3 have other things they'd rather be doing. And no one wants to be the bad guy.

Which one of us even wants to have guidelines!

The Heaven team has so much confidence in the people who post here that we do not moderate comments before the fact. Only once in a while, after the fact, we delete a line or two here and there. Once in a blue moon, the whole thing.

My suggestion is that if you are not sure something is right for this forum, don't post it.

And that's what we have to do with moderating.

Of course, there is a fine line.

This is not a religious site, nor is this a place to knock religions even subtly. Of course, everyone is entitled to his opinion, but all opinions do not have to be posted here.

This is not a place for promotions of any kind.

We care very much about the individual here. We never want to hurt anyone's feelings.

Mike, we all love you and your poetry. You are more than welcome to continue to post. And, of course, you are free to come and go. Whether you post your poetry here or not, you also are invited to stay and support the rest of us.

Heaven Admin has put in more time and caring into this forum and web site than anyone can possibly imagine. He is always here, and always thinking of the greater good. On the relative level, he is the mainstay of this site.

Beyond that, everyone who posts, God, and Heavenletters are the mainstay! :)

Really, read the guidelines!

Heaven Admin, if I have gone too far here, delete me!

Dear friends, may I request that this be the end of the discussion on moderating? Please, no responses, neither pro nor con.

We are all simple human beings, doing the best we can.

God bless us all.

With love,
Gloria

Gloria, I was trying to

Gloria, I was trying to cover for you, explaining your typo as best as possible...you know that you could have written what you wrote also to me, and in different words have written such to me. Given recent communications between us, I wasn't sure if the error was in reading or in typing, you can see this from what I wrote. I don't really know how I could have said it much better, which is why I wrote "no problems, no blaming". I inserted that for its own reason, for clarification.

In the past I have written some things which needed moderation both for subject matter, given the nature of this site, and for how what I have written is perceived by the reader who might not understand the intent of the writing...so there is a purpose for all things under the sun. OK, I see you don't want a discussion on moderating, so that was a reference to my history here.

Gloria, to be honest, the guidelines are not extremely clear. For example, some of us understand the word "religous" to mean different things. When something is profoundly spiritual, I tend to think sometimes that it is not religous, if you understand my meaning. Something is either one way or the other. (I'm not knocking religion here...depending on your definition of religous I am very religous.) But I completely understand your meaning of the word now. Peace all, from the inner to the outer. markw

Dearest Mark, you are right.

Dearest Mark, you are right. There is a fine line.

I suppose when there is something that might offend anyone who visits this forum or anyone who may come here in the future, it's better we don't post it. All are welcome here. We have priests, ministers, rabbis who subscribe to Heavenletters. We have Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims. We have heavy metal musicians (or at least one!) We have out and out lightworkers of various kinds. We have people with tattoos. We have Democrats and Republicans.

We wisely stay away from religion and politics. If people like to debate these things, there are plenty of other sites that welcome such discussions. All are welcome here, but not all discussions.

Here we don't take sides. Here we can take a breath. Here, we all share in common a desire to know God better. That's what's so wonderful about this spiritual forum. We have people from all walks of life and all backgrounds and all religions and politics, and it's still a safe place for everyone to come.

Thanks for your understanding, Mark.

God bless us all.

With love,

Gloria

Hi Gloria, I hope I didn't

Hi Gloria, I hope I didn't upset you too much with my initial comment on this post. Actually I know I don't have to write that because you are the kind who easily forgets perceived upsets against yourself. But it's better to write it anyway.

Gloria, you have a lot to juggle on this site, I mean with different writers and their points of view. And you are trying to best accomodate the needs of all. I am not trying to change your policy concerning religion or political writing. It is only that the guidelines are more clear to you because you wrote them, and you have tried to make them more clear over time. I would only suggest (this doesn't really have to do with anything I might want to post) that the more guidelines there are, the more misunderstandings of what the guidelines allow there will be.

For instance, in one post I had, I felt that I needed to source my material since I kind of took someone else's writing and added my own touches to it. So I listed the website where the original writing could be found. I remembered you didn't want us to list our own website, so I wasn't doing that.

But after I wrote the post, and listed the site, I wondered if I kind of brushed up against the guidelines so I read the guidelines more carefully. And I really am not too sure everyone would agree that I obeyed the guidelines as written.

I'm not trying to get an answer here as to whether that was fine with the guidelines; what is printed is printed. But the more rules there are, the more it is difficult to understand all the ins and outs of them. By promoting, do you mean listing a website to promote it (at this time I think yes). Or do you mean you don't want us to list a website which will indirectly promote whatever the website might be selling?

I have no suggestion for you as to what should be done about this. It's something you will work out over time in the grace of your understanding. I'm not looking for an answer here, we'll see how the guidelines change over the years and we will have our answer. Others will give you feedback and you will incorporate what needs to be incorporated into the guidelines, if anything. It's up to you, Gloria, I'm not trying to lead you in any particular direction.

Anyway, I feel as though I am taking away from mike's moment in the sun, this is his post and somewhat of a farewell after all. But mike's moment is always in the sun, as he is about the sun. As are your moments Gloria...so I know he understands, as you also do. love,
markw

Dearest Mark, it's really no big deal.

Out of maybe 1,000 comments comes one that seems to need some moderating.
In terms of a problem, this doesn't even show on the screen.

All is well.

With love and blessings,

Gloria

I think you have it on the nose Senora! It's really no big deal. :big
I had a quick read through the guidelines. It seems pretty clear. I'll make a link to it on the main community page. Maybe when we have a few moments, we can make the guidelines into point form...for those in a hurry.

The exact events that lead

The exact events that lead to this post is unclear, however I'm happy to share a personal experience that perhaps something may be gleaned from. It may be related because it has something to do with emotions and relationships...

The experience...
I was recently observing how the mind ran around trying to defend itself and look for external reasons for resistance I was experiencing in a relationship. With extreme alertness I observed the thoughts that came through and saw how easy it was to allow the mind to run with a thought...even though that thought was not progressive or constructive. This kind of alertness requires honesty. The Buddhists call it mindfulness...the practice of honestly and alertly observing for any emotions that arise and the proceeding thoughts. My gosh, I was astounded by some of the thoughts that came along!

It was liberating experience to not take possession of the thoughts. To watch them come and to let them go and to not let them change my state of being. By this practice I managed to overcome the resistance in the relationship. I feel the relationship is far from healed, but I know that it is healing because I'm not allowing myself to harbor any forms of resistance within...so there is nothing to push against. That which pushes will eventually tire out and fade away and the relationship will be healed.

As an aside...we as a collective are going through a phase of tremendous change. Especially on the level of relationships. Its a time to be super alert and make sure our actions are not moved by emotions.

So I understand that one of the moderators has edited a post here on the forums. I think every home has a way. In this home we have a way. In this home we are trying to make that way as universal as possible. Inclusive rather than exclusive. We must see how our ways can dance together in a common home.

at1ment, thank you for the beautiful poetry and writings you post in this community. Please do continue. When you do decide to start up a blog, may I recommend www.wordpress.com which offers a simple, easy to use and beautiful blogging platform.

Gloria and moderators, thank you for keeping this forum such an uplifting place on the web. Its delightful to see a gathering of such wonder!
