Heavenletter# 5053 - Life Teaches you -
Posted September 18th, 2014 by Philippe L...
Hello Gloria
In the paragraph below what does “This is a bug-a-boo” mean?
This is a bug-a-boo, this concept of Mine and thine as if We were cloven in two. If this one thought were reversed, it's possible that you would turn your life on end. Perhaps then, you would stop fighting life. Perhaps then you would jump on and consciously live for all you are worth.
Thank you for your answer
Blessings
Philippe
Philippe, the word shouldn't
Philippe, the word shouldn't have hyphens in it, and if you search "bugaboo" it will come up in TheFreeDictionary and elsewhere. It means "an object of obsessive, usually exaggerated fear or anxiety" and "an imaginary source of fear" or simply "a recurring or persistent problem".
Probably that last defintion is closest to how it is used in this Heavenletter since the element of fear or worry doesn't seem to be there. The word isn't used commonly and I didn't know it shouldn't have hyphens until I tried looking it up. Gloria, maybe it should have those hyphens removed to help those not familiar with the word look it up.

Bless you, dear Charles, for getting here quickly, and you, Philippe, for your question.
Do you know I did not know how to formulate in words the meaning! Charles is right, naturally. Bugaboo is not hyphenated although I was certain it was!

noun \ˈbə-gə-ˌbü\
: something that makes people very worried or upset
plural bug·a·boos
Full Definition of BUGABOO
1

2

Thank you Charles for your explanations, I understand why I could not find it now.
Next time, I see hyphens within a word that I don't see in dictionnaries, I'll remember that, so that I don't make a bugaboo of this....
Is This correct?
And thank you Gloria for teaching me such wonderful words.
Bless you both

Beloved Philippe,It is God
Beloved Philippe,
It is God we thank for increasing our vocabularies!
I do not think II have never used the world bugabo in my whole life. I know I have read it. .
God uses many words that I do not usually use. There are other words I have had to look up in the past. I guess that the words that I consciously do not grasp I read somewhere once. I don't know what else to think. .
