Heavenletter #5031 - The Wedding of Love

Dear Gloria

Oh yes, I did want to serve You, but like a bird on the wing. I was not capable of giving all of myself to You. I had to reserve some of myself to myself. You did not understand. I was not ready for You. I begged you silently: ‘Wait until I am ready.’

In the paragraph above I don't see the meaning of:

Like a bird on the wing

I would appreciate you to tell me what you understand by these words.

Love
Philippe

Thank you, Philippe, for

Thank you, Philippe, for posting your question. There may well be other translators who aren't sure. Please know how much your asking a question is appreciated.

It is easy for a bird to fly. A bird on the wing means a bird that is flying so easily and yet is flying away. And so one who is fighting her love for God here, is like a bird on the wing who, in this case, is fleeing the Love of Her Life.

I didn't go to the whole Heavenletter, forgive me. Perhaps there is more needed? Please yell..
