Heavenletter # 4958 Life Is About Living It 22.6.2014

What is at the core of your asking for a second opinion or third or fourth? Is it the idea that everyone else must know more than you? Or can it be that at the core your fear or unwillingness to take responsibility for yourself? What makes you have to check with others?

Dear Gloria,

could it be that the verb ARE is missing? or something else?

Or can it be that at the core your fear or unwillingness are to take responsibility for yourself?

Thanks a lot,

love and light,
Anneke

Dearest Anneke, there

Dearest Anneke, there certainly is a verb missing from the sentence above.

I always go to the entire Heavenletter so I'm sure to have all the context in place. I found this sentence, dear one:

Or can it be that at the core IS your fear or unwillingness to take responsibility for yourself?

It looks like someone fixed the sentence there, and they did a great job.

God bless us all!

are = is

Dear Gloria,

first I thought it had to be IS and then Are...and it is IS ;-)

from heart to heart, namasté, Anneke

Dear Anneke, for this

Dear Anneke, for this particular instance, the singular subject core rules for sure. I say this because it's made simpler because the two nouns in the predicate are fear and unwillingness joined, however, by or.

Otherwise, if the two nouns in predicate were joined by and, then I am not so certain. There must be a simple rule if only I could remember it!
