I don't know about this expression "Fol de rol". Do you mean "Fol de roi, Fol du roi (the King's fool)?

In English, it is properly spelled fold de rol or even as one word, folderol, I just discovered on line.

I think that God is meaning we don't have to get to get carried away.

I was mislead by this word that really seems to come from French in its consonance. But it seems that this word has no etymology.
