Heavenletter #4407
Dear Gloria,
The last paragraph of this Heavenletter reads:
"You play the notes. There is no piper to pay. All is free exchange. You leap from freedom to freedom. You set sail for new lands. And you learn another dance, and you leap high, from underbrush to sky, from hill to dale, from one star to another and back again and off again. All this twirling is life. This is the light of life. Star-struck, and star-dust.
I have not a clue what "star-struck, star-dust" means, and so I don't know how to translate it.
Can you help me please?
Thanks.
Love,
Luus
Hi, dear Luus. Star-struck
Hi, dear Luus. Star-struck is like when a teen-ager is in love with a movie-star. I suppose this could also be said when anyone falls in love. This expression existed before movie-stars, I imagine. I would guess that the expression originally came from astrology. A certain alignment of the stars might lead someone to fall madly in love.
When star-dust is spoken of, a song comes to my mind. "She has star-dust in her eyes." This would also mean fallen in love. Star-dust would give us a certain dreamy-like stance -- a trance even.
Star-struck and star-dust suggest a certain dreaminess, not what might be called "down to earth."
Does this help, dear Luus. Tomorrow I can look up these words and see what I get. Now it's late, and I'd better get to bed.
And I have to find the whole Heavenletter and see what this means in terms of the context of the Heavenletter!
Thanks for asking, dear friend.
With love and blessings,
Gloria
Okay, Luus, for Heavenletter
Okay, Luus, for Heavenletter How to Pick a Flower:
You play the notes.
I'm guessing that God means us to take life lightly. Gosh, I need the whole Heavenletter in front of me!I lose my train of thought.
If I remember, God means that being more in love with life, in love with the light of life, is being in love with the Truth of Light.
Please tell me what you think.
Love, Gloria
Thank you, Gloria, for your
Thank you, Gloria, for your effort to help me get it. However, I still don't get it but there is still plenty of time to find a satisfactory way to translate this and I can always count on Anneke. I could not find these words in the (on-line) freedictionary.com and I suppose that you could not find them either, which is just too bad.
Star-dust might be the crux
Star-dust might be the crux of it, dear Luus!
Star-dust: A dreamlike, romantic, or uncritical sense of well-being.
God wants us to have a sense of well-being.
The definition of star-struck is fascinated with celebrities. I think God wants us to be in love with life the way some people are in love with move-stars.
Let's see who else comes in with some help, Luus!
translation as I see and feel it
Dear Gloria and Luus,
here is the translation in Dutch as I see and feel it:
Je speelt de noten. Er is geen doedelzakspeler om te betalen. Alles is vrije uitwisseling.
Paraphrasing the last sentence it would be: Je bent aangeraakt door de sterren, dus straal als een ster.
This is based on your descriptions of the words Star-struck, star-dust, dear Gloria.
This is the best I can do for now and hopefully you agree with me, Luus.
love and light, namasté, Anneke
Thanks a lot, Anneke, your
Thanks a lot, Anneke, your translation is perfect and I could not have thought of it myself. I knew I could count on you, dear friend.

Anneke made it: "You have been touched by the stars, so shine like a star."
