Heaven #4252 God Designated You

Dear Gloria ( I know you will be in the air some time today),

in http://www.heavenletters.org/god-designated-you.html

parag. 6

"Follow your heart. What else is there possibly to follow? Love is worth its weight in gold, and yet love is weightless. We could say that love is the main symptom of God on Earth. I could say symbol, yet love is far more than a symbol. Love brightens and colors the world. Love is a brightener, and, yet, love is never an additive. What craziness is it not to love when you are love itself and can love well when you come off it, when you come off another course?"

I can't catch the meaning of the verb "coming off" in "coming off it" and in "coming off another course". I try not to confuse between "coming of" and "coming off". Coming off could mean to remove, to detach, to get out well of a situation. But I cannot grasp its meaning in this sentence.

- In the last paragraph, God says: "You are My designated lover of all". Does it mean: "you are the one I designated to love all (that is, everyone and everything)"?

Thanks

Beloved Normand, "come off

Beloved Normand, "come off it" is a very idiomatic expression. There is no way you could possibly get the meaning. It means to stop fooling around. In this case, coming off it would mean to change your thinking and return to love. "Cut it out" is another expression that means "come off it." In other words, change your thinking, your direction of thinking. Veer from the course you are on. God loves us as we are, and yet He wants us to love vastly.

As for "you are my designated lover of all," I think it has a double entendre.. I kinda think God is having fun with us. He says that He and I (meaning He and everyone) are lovers and are lovers of all, as God Himself indeed is..

What a task a translator has!

God bless you.

With love, Gloria

P.S. Yes, it's getting down to the last minute.

Thanks Gloria. "Cut it out"

Thanks Gloria.

"Cut it out" is familiar to me.

As for "you are my designated lover of all" I had initially translated it as "you are my designated lover amongst all" since God is addressing to all of us. But I preferred to ask you first...
