HEAVEN #3017

Dearest Gloria,
I have three questions about Heavenletter #3017 The Master Key to the Universe:

1. Anger reveals a sense of powerlessness, as if you, a Child of God, need a
hired hood for a bodyguard.

2. Anger, even your anger, is Johnny-on-the-Spot, ever ready...

3. You do not need to be boosted onto anger's shoulders.

Can you explain these expressions, please?

With loving gratitude,
Paula

Beloved Paula, It would seem

Beloved Paula,

It would seem that God doesn't make it easy for translators! I'll see what I can do! And, of course, I love translator questions. They make me think.

1. Hood here means like a gangster, but it would be a lower level gangster. Just a hired hood to protect you, be your bodyguard.

2. Johnny on the Spot is a colloquial way to say quickly. Anger is quick to arise. It can arise in an instant.

3. When we are angry, it is as if anger has come running in and lifted us on its shoulders and carries us away. Anger picks us up and runs away with us. We don't really need anger. We don't need it to run off with us. This is a way of saying, I believe, that we don't need anger.

God bless you, dear Paula.
