God Is the Teacher
Diane to God:
"The joy is the path of discovery, not the answer." Now I understand what You are saying in Your answers to me August 10 and August 11. My joy was the path that led me to take a week of my life to sing and dance. The singing and dancing are an outpicturing of the joy that I am putting my attention upon. Is this what You are saying?
And how do I integrate this idea into my Finding God Workshop? For instance gratitude. Gratitude is a symptom of the joy that is already there? Gratitude is not a way to find You? Help me out here. This is a very good conversation. Thank You.
God to Diane:
Yes, you are getting it!
We are on an adventure together, you and I. An adventure doesn't stop. We keep walking together and discover new things. The path we walk on is called infinity, and there is always another bend around the corner. We are mobile, not stationed. True, We are established in each other, but there is always more to discover. No arrival. The truth is you are arrived, but there is more discovery. We are like a book with a sequel. And then another.
Or like a house with many rooms, one off the other. You think you are in the most beautiful room of all, and then, behold, there is another door and another room. That is expansion. And that is humility, the awareness of another door and another paradise beyond, not yet trod on.
We have arrived, but We are not finished.
We swim and reach shore again and again, and there is always a new shore calling Us.
I am a Master Magician, and there is always a new trick up My sleeve. But, of course, no tricks. It is all played out, and it continues to play out, this carpet called life. Another name for life is discovery. You keep discovering Me and I lead you into further rooms, and your step quickens.
The Finding God workshops are not yours, dear Diane. They are Mine.
They are meeting places for discovery. They are not schools that teach. You are not a teacher. You are an inviter, and you invite Me. I am the Teacher, and I have invited you to bring some people together to meet with Me. It is not knowledge that you will give at My workshops. It is desire. Just the name, Finding God, inspires.
There is no course of instruction. What course did you take? What course did Jesus take?
All find their own way to Me. You cannot find a way for someone else. You can open doors. You can tell your story.
You can say God asked you to do a workshop, and you comply, but that is not the same as saying you know something.
But, of course, you do know something! You know something. You know a little, and what little you know you want to share. It is that simple.
Gratitude and joy are evidence of themselves, and yet awareness of them can bring more awareness of them. So they are both a symptom and a way.
Instead of thinking of disaster, My children can think of gratitude and joy.
Gratitude and joy lead to good places.
Gratitude and joy cannot be taught, but they can be noticed and they can be admired.
They are signs to put up.
Let people share gratitude and joy rather than dismay.
All the people who get together to share dismay and complaint.
Remember that love for Me is not emotion, dear one.
My love for you and your love for Me are an intermingling of quiet energy, and I come to you in lapping waves.
Solitude is not solitude but a way of listening for Me.
Sharing My love is a way of echoing My love, letting it move around a little, stirring it.
Remember My love, to or from, does not HAVE to be dramatized, because it already is. Love can be underscored a little. It can be noted.
If you were to compare Me to music, mostly I am quiet notes. Once in a while all the instruments get together and make a crescendo, and then the silence and the music can be heard one after the other. But the silence is always there from which the music comes. And there is always more music never played before.
Have confidence in Me, beloved Diane. Place your confidence in Me.
And, yes, this is a good conversation We are having in which We discover Our Oneness more.
