Congratulations to Theophil and to Stefan. Stefan has been working a full-time job and translating Heavenletters for years and years.
Theophil has been able to devote himself -- it seems full-time -- and now we have a thousand Heavenletters in German. This is so fulfilling.
I know it's Heaven Admin's intention to make a German website -- and an Italian -- and a Turkish -- there is already a Spanish -- of course, we'd like a website for each language -- but there is so much Heaven Admin is working on. I do not know how he does all he does for us.
A thousand Heavenletters translated into German! That is cause for celebration.
What's the equivalent for the expression WOW in German?
This news is amazing. I always had the idea that Spanish translations were larger in number. There are 648 translations published on the Spanish website.
German and Spanish versions of the Heavenletters website are priority. We'll get these two websites working as soon as possible.
We do have the German version of the site working here: http://de.heavenletters.org/german-heavenletters.html As with the Spanish version we are not publicizing the url until some of the bugs and details have been worked out. For example, we have to import all the Heavenletters in German from the forum into the Spanish site maintaining the relationship with the English. Another detail is selecting and editing "core" content for the translated sites like the "About" page. It would be sufficient to have 3 or 4 core pages translated and the listing of all translated Heavenletters for each language site.
I am delighted.
Can I (can we) do something? ... importing, translating "core" contents, listing?
Is my guessing correct, that www.heavenletters.org is using 'drupal' as software of the website? Sometimes I got the impression, for instance the term "node" in the url.
How did you know that! Yes Drupal! We do all our development in Drupal at the company I work in. We have been developing in Drupal for over 2 1/2 years and have customised it to suit the projects we work with. I remember showing Gloria Drupal a few years ago and she really liked it.
You already serve so well Theophil. When Gloria and a few of us have selected and edited core content for the translated sites, we will post the information on the forum for translation.
While I'm writing this, I'm wondering if this may be turned into a community action. I'm thinking we could form a small editing team who select and edit an essential set of "template" content to be translated for each language site.
We would have pages like, About Heaven, How Heaven started, Heaven's Vision, Invest in Heaven, Subscribe to Heaven, Subscription Help and so on.
