Your Light Shining Through
Some days the sun shines brightly, and some days the sky is hazy. Regardless of how the sun appears, the sun is shining all the time, and all the time the sun shines brightly. What the sun filters through makes a difference in how it looks to you. But filters are not the sun. They are filters.
And so there is a bright light that shines in you. You have never been without it. The sun of love and light within you radiates every day. It radiates brilliantly. This sun within you is the real you, and it is ever the truth of you. This selfsame light that is Mine shines within you and within everyone, friend and foe alike. There are no exceptions.
The filters may obstruct the view of your internal sun. You do not see this bright light that you are. You are dimmed to your own eyes. You may even express and reveal hostility and discontent, and still the light shines within you, and within everyone. That light is there. It is an eternal light, and you have it.
Another may express more of this light than you do, yet you have the same light to express. Be you in prison or picking flowers on a hill, your light is the same. Beloveds, your light is the same as Mine. Shine for Me, beloveds. Shine because it is lovely to do so.
What if you really recognized that you are a bright light? What if you even supposed for a minute that you are? Would you not feel more sparkle in your step? Would you not rise from bed in the morning eager to see a bright sun outside and to know that your sunlight shines the same and is not truly dimmed, just dimmed to your view?
But what if you are truly a bright light, would you not shine? Do you suppose, as a favor to Me, that you could turn the amps of your light up? Do you suppose you could cradle this light and rock it perhaps in front of windows open to it? What would you have to lose in order to let your light shine through? Beloveds, all you could lose is grumpiness and discontent. Would you mind giving them up? Would you mind trading in dross for gold? Would you mind?
Today, as you amble through your day, will you remember that you have a bright sun shining within you, and it would love to see the light of day? It would love to shine outright and to be seen. What would keep you back from this splendid radiance? Even if you cannot see your own light, would you not shine it to brighten the lives of others? Would not then your life reflected onto others reflect back to you? Why not live in a world lighted by you, beloveds? Why not your light?
Why not smile at the next person you meet? In a fairy tale, it might say that you have to marry the first animate thing you see. Be the bright light you are, and in your light, you will see princes and princesses. You will make them so. All because you smile. All because you greet and welcome them into your light. See how many smiles you receive today when you smile first. Is it so hard to do?
And if you get a rebuff, what do you care? You would have lit the world today. The sun does not mind when people put on sunglasses and sunhats. The sun is just glad that he can shine and shine for all. Whether people choose to stay in the shade or sun, the sun doesn't take it personally. The sun does what he is supposed to do. He shines for all. Is that not your purpose too?
