Your Heart's Destiny

God said:

Everything you do bears fruit. Only you may not know how and when. It may be under your very nose, and you don't see it. But that's all right, isn't it, because in doing, you bless the universe. You don't need proof every time. Do you really need an official verification that your message was received and valued?

When you deliver a message, you deliver it. You send it out. You send a message, and it's out there. What you give is inevitably your reward. We are not talking about cause and effect. Any overt return is beside the point. It is incidental. It is like a comma. Commas are not crucial.

But how much in life My children look for a thank-you note and feel a little huffy when it is not forthcoming. Thank yourself. Honor yourself, and you will not require so much from others. Ironically, as you free others, as you give freely without thought of return, more evidence of return will flood to you.

Once again, we are talking about letting go. Now you are letting go of your attachment to reward from outside you. You do not have to have it. It does not have to come to you.

Yet you will continue to freely donate your gifts to the world and to Me. I thank you in advance. I do not credit your account as such, for the merit of what you do and what you give is in what you do and what you give. The deed matters, not any tallying of it.

I do not ask you to get caught up in record-keeping, for records are of the past, and We are already in the present.

Your ability to give is your fortune, and it is your reward.

You are always giving something on earth. Pay attention to what you give. What would you like to give? Certainly not displeasure.

Pay attention to what the world needs more of, and give that. It is in your heart to give. The giving heart is the only happy one. The grasping heart is not. Even the heart that is well-entitled to a tip is not happy grasping for it. When you grasp for return, you are trying to control life.

Controlling is opposed to giving. Giving orders is not giving.

When you buy something, you expect the right change. When you sell something, you expect proper payment. But your heart is not to be bought and sold. No payment can possibly equal your heart's giving.

The giver is the receiver. The giver reaps. But no one needs to account for what has been given and what is received. It is enough to give.

I have given you a storehouse of gifts, and you merely pass them out. The storehouse is infinite. Stock never runs out. In fact, the more you give, the more you have. Where there was one gift, now there are two. And so you will continue to give from your heart, and so your heart will swell, and you will swell other hearts. The only giving of count is the giving from your heart.

Make sure that is where your giving comes from.

It is never duty to give. If you think it is your duty, you are not giving. If it is from obligation, it is not giving, for obligation cramps your heart. And yet you are obliged to give. The obligation is interior, not exterior. Your heart won't rest without it. Your heart knows its mission better than you do.

Today give to your heart. Heap gifts upon it.

Gloria, there's something

Gloria, there's something here.
"It you think it is your duty, you are not giving. If it is from obligation, it is not giving, for obligation cramps your heart."

Isn't the first "It" supposed to be If?
