Your Adopted World

God said:

Even the stillest of air has motion. Even the densest object is made of sparking light.

And you are made of stillness and movement and you are a sparkler of My light alit on earth for the healing of it.

Consider that you are a salve to life on earth. You were sent to soothe it. You were sent to lift it. You were not sent for yourself.

You do not need the world. It needs you.

Will you switch your thinking to this?

I gave you as a gift to the world.

And I gave you the world to adopt as your own.

The world is like a troubled orphan who needs care.

This is your world, and now it is yours to tend.

But what is the world? If there is only Oneness, and only you and I, what does the world have to do with Us. And yet it is part of Us, and we would not abandon it. We would not leave it to its own meanderings or machinations.

Even when you don't know what to make of the world, nor what to do with it, you would not abscond from it. You know you are somehow a part of it.

You found the world ready-made when you entered it. It seems not of your making, but here you are on it, this nonexistent ball of time and space. And yet the world was not finished before you arrived. It needed something more, and so I sent you as the something more to give to the world. You have alit to this universe as a light from on high, like a comet, like a meteor, like a fallen star.

There has never been another like you. The world waited for you. It is waiting for you still. You haven't yet quite accepted this spot of land you stand on and your share in it.

It is not that you have shirked your responsibility. It's just that you haven't found out what it is yet.

What are you doing here, and how did you get here, and for what purpose?

To do My Will, of course.

It is yours to cast some of My light on the world. The world is not yours to tromp on. It is yours to elevate. You graze on earth, and yet you are the nourisher of it.

Whom should I have sent to earth and not you?

I chose you. You chose yourself, too, of course. I did not make a one-sided decision. I had your cooperation. I have it still.

Perhaps, from your present perspective, this is not the land you would have chosen, but this is truly the land you did choose. You are where you chose to be. And you were chosen. We made a decision together. It was not a hard decision.

But, in any case, you have fallen to earth but do not think that is your downfall. You arrived in the nick of time to fulfill My Will. You were given a hero's send-off to earth, but you have forgotten that part.

But are you not now a hero on earth? Do you not rise every morning? Do you not mount your day, and return at night, often alone-seeming? Do you not carry the world's woes in your heart? And do you not make it better once in a while or more?

Notice that you do. You have saved many a day. You have eased the road for many. Even stumbling and tripping, you have. And now you pick yourself up, for there is more yet for you to do.
