The Neutrality of Love

God said:

How do you separate your sense of values from standards? It is good for you to have your values, but it is good not to impose them upon others. Others do not have to value elements in life the same way you do. Even you have degrees within the values you set for yourself, is that not so?

Do not value disapproval.

You do not know what another's path is, and it is not for you to deter them from it.

There are values that to you are inviolate, but not to someone else.

Other cultures value other things.

Other cultures may look askance at you.

Consider each individual in the world as from another culture, and you will be less assuming. The truth is that no two households are alike.

And someone himself may not live up to the values he sets forth and believes in his heart. I do not accuse him nor are you to. You may say you believe in live and let live, and yet you do not abide by it.

Do not be so quick to right the wrongs of the world. Set your own compass, and that is enough for you to do.

You were not born to be the critic of the world or anyone in it. Begin to see right more than you see wrong.

When others buy what you do not, do not cluck your tongue. When others adulate what you do not, you do not have to approve any more than you have to disapprove. You are not the approver nor improver of the universe.

You are the wielder of you.

Be you. Stride forth. Carry your own sword of truth. You cannot carry others'. Your responsibility to others is to love them as they are, not to rewrite them.

Others may be misguided, but that is irrelevant to your truth. Someone else may do what you consider an abomination. They may even be extolled for it or despite it, and you also consider the extolling an abomination.

You scoff at the word "abomination" and those who would use it. But let Us not mince words. Substitute "abominate" for "disapprove". What else do you call it when you think you know better than someone else?

You are the only one who has to follow your own heart. You are the only one.

I gave free will. I gave it to you. Why, then, is it so hard for you to grant it to someone else?

Set your values for yourself. Be as you set out to be.

No one is more or less than you. No matter what their debts, they are no more indebted than you. They are as obliged to make their own way as you are yours.

Release the mistakes of others. Do not hold others' errors so dear to you. Do not try to be a censer of life or those who live it. Let them be.

Take off your hat to everyone. Lay your cloak down for all who make their way in life however near or far they match your values. Keep your eye on Me and not so much on what other people are doing or saying.

Hands off. Mind off too. Find that core of you that blends your heart with all others. Sometimes others are disappointed in themselves too. Your place is to be neutral. Your neutrality, your acceptance of another as My child no matter what their history, elevates the world. Your criticisms do not. You were not set on earth to be above others. Wave a wand of love in your life and not a stick.

Condemn no one. Let them learn, just as you yourself learn. Different lessons, that is all. Your lessons aren't better than someone else's. They just are yours. Those you judge may be far less judgmental than you, and perhaps that is what you are to learn from them.

It is not judgemental to be

It is not judgemental to be opposed to cruelty, & thus express that stance., it is exercising one's free will, maintaining/expressing an opinion, & why should an individual's opinion be surpressed?
The needless suffering of innocents is an issue that should always be addressed & challenged, regardless of who it supposedly offends.

Beloved CT, you are right,

Beloved CT, you are right, of course. No one, least of all God, is trying to repress us.

My understanding of what God is saying is more directed to where we put our energy.

We can point out the error of someone's ways, of course, but is that the highest use of our attention and energy? Is it the most productive? Has it been?

God bless you for your caring heart.

Gloria's Got a Golden Point...

There's a Heavenletter that expands on Gloria's comment, "My understanding of what God is saying is more directed to where we put our energy."

(I did a quick search, but couldn't locate it...maybe someone else can pinpoint it?)

God says in that Heavenletter that it's easier and more efficient for us to use our energy to bring Heaven to Earth for EVERYONE, than for us to use our energy to try to bring specific unfortunate circumstances on Earth to Heaven.

I love it when God trumps us in such a good way. When I read this, it was one of those "Ah...h! moments"!! And it's a happier, more joyful "way to do things", too!!
