The Author of Freedom

God said:

Unfurrow your brow. You are looking too closely at something when you frown. Stand back and look at a greater horizon. Why frown when you can love instead? The vantage you come from depends upon you, not where your feet happen to be. What you see depends upon the view-finder you set up and look through.

Whether you look through a telescope or microscope, you determine what you look at. It is not necessary to dissect what you look at. Better to look at the entirety of a diamond than at one imperfection. Better to look at the whole universe than at one spot of dust. Even though the one spot of dust contains the whole universe, better to see bigger. Better to see wholeness than separateness. Better to be a part of wholeness than apart from wholeness, even though wholeness you are.

Come into My mansion, beloveds. Take a tour through the universe. I will show you, and you will show Me. We walk together through My home, and I invite you to live here with Me. Whether you presently live in a hut or a palace, I offer you the run of the place. I invite you to move in with Me. Let Us be roommates in this universe. Let us share. I would share everything with you. There is nothing I would keep from you. There are no locks on My doors, no secret treasure chest. There is no room you cannot enter. There is no forbiddenness where I am. There is treasure to be sure, and yet everyone’s name is on it. All you have to do is to come with Me. Come with Me now. Take My hand, and clasp it to your heart. We are Oneness walking through the halls of Oneness.

I would not go anywhere without you. Therefore, I stay with you. I invite you to walk with Me. You walk with me regardless, and yet you have choice. You have the choice to acknowledge our Oneness, and you have the choice to dispute it or ignore it altogether. But I, beloveds, I, the Author of Freedom, I have no choice. I have no choice but to do as I want, and I want to accompany you, and I want to be accompanied by you. So inalterably, We walk together through the chambers of My house. My house is many-dimensioned and of many colors.

There is a gold room, and a white room, and rainbow rooms. There is every room you have ever dreamed of. All the dreams are true, and yet, when you walk with Me, you have no other dream but to walk with Me. So walk with Me now. Accept that We walk together. Do not keep your deepest desire hidden. Get it right out in the open.

You desire Me as much as I desire you. I desire you greatly, and My desire is fulfilled. I keep you by My side, and I am happy as can be. I am happy to have you beside Me. It is not that you buffer My heart. I buffer yours, and that is My happiness. I have great happiness. You give Me great happiness. You give Me inalterable happiness. My creation gives Me much joy.

I would share My joy with you. I do share My joy with you. It is called love. I love you firmly, and I love you vastly. I love you with all the consciousness vested in Me, and My consciousness is incredible in its Vastness and in its fine-tuning. I am, the Vastness of the Vast, and yet I am the most Intimate of the Intimate, and that means We are One in Our walk through the Universe. You do walk with Me, beloveds. Now, hold My hand. Clasp it to your breast. Keep Me in your heart where I already am.

forbiddenness

There are no locks on My doors, no secret treasure chest. There is no room you cannot enter. There is no forbiddenness where I am.

The moment I read this, it occurs to me that forbiddenness must be a key element of the human plight. How many fairy tales and other stories rely on the pattern of forbiddenness and danger or punishment. Of course there is no forbiddenness with You, dear God. Without the illusion of a vulnerable body, where could forbiddenness come in, what need would forbiddenness – or hatred, greed, resentment and anything less then love – serve? Without an imagined body, not even emotional hurt or harm would be possible. Imagined and believed-in physicalness is what enables this whole adventure of an imagined life on an imagined earth. How ingenious to invent someting that does not and cannot really exist: destructible physicalness. And perhaps this imagined reality had to be stabilized for all those seeming millennia before we started to remember in greater numbers. Otherwise, that reality might simply disintegrate and evaporate, and how could we learn to live in both worlds at once then?

Now, obviously, this comment got out of hand. I don't mind, I hope you don't either. I do not really want to speculate, but if a word has such a sudden and booming reverberation – forbiddenness – you cannot help listening into it, sometimes finding that the most obvious, the most taken-for-granted things can really be the weirdest.
