Signature of Heavenletters Chinese

Hi Gloria and William,

This is Cat. It's my first time sending you message in this forum, hope it can reach to you.

I have a question today. It's about the signature at the bottom of Heavenletters Chinese.

When I edit a Heavenletter, normally I sign my name at the bottom of the letter in the forum. I did it so since the first letter. But yesterday I found something strange on the Heavenletters Chinese page. The signature at the bottom of each letter is Xiyangyang, instead of Cat. Please check this link fyi. http://heavenletters.org/wherever-your-feet-may-land.html-0 or any recent Heavenletter Chinese.

I guess all these letters are linked with those translations I posted in the forum, and are generated automatically after my translations are completed in the forum. And translator's name or signature was set in advance by the administrator or system, right? Then how about if there is more than one translator, like me and Xiyangyang? If there is a way to change it?

I talked with Xiyangyang about this issue, he had no idea either. That's why I write this letter.

Any question you have, please feel free to let me know.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Love and blessings

Beloved Cat, we want this to

Beloved Cat, we want this to be correct.

I will alert Will right now to this important post of yours. Will will do everything to make this the way we all want it to be. Keep watching here, dear Cat, and we will find out what Will can do to make this just right.

God bless you, Cat. I'm sorry I had not noticed this!

Love, Gloria

P.S. You are translating so many Heavenletters with so much Joy! How many translations have you made in such a short time! You are an inspiration!

I just upgraded your account

I just upgraded your account to the "translator" role, so now you can be properly acknowledged and I fixed the HL you linked to. Whoever copies the HL over from the forum just needs to make sure your name goes in the "Translated by:" field.

Aha! Will, thank you so much

Aha! Will, thank you so much for fixing this. You are quick!

Who does send out your translations, dear Cat.

Clemens, there is no way you could know. I should know. This may change with the new website anyhow.

Will, do you have an idea how this will work with the upgrade?

This is my idea of how it

This is my idea of how it should work:

  1. A translator finds the HL they want to translate, clicks a "translate" link, then selects a language.
  2. The edit form comes up, and the translator enters in the translated title and body of the HL. The rest of the fields are filled in automatically.
  3. Then the translated HL is saved to the site, but it it's not published until it's proofread (and this step is optional).

That's pretty much it. I think I can automate pretty much everything other than the translation itself. For the newsletter in other languages, I should be able to have it simply look once a day for the most recent translation that hasn't already been sent out.

Thanks a lot, Will, for your

Thanks a lot, Will, for your quick response!

One clarification for me: Each translator has his or her own account? Do I understand correctly? Simple is so good

I bet our translators will proof!!

Yes, each translator would

Yes, each translator would have their own account so we'll be able to tell who's posting what.

Cat, Mauro emailed me right

Cat, Mauro emailed me right away. I believe your name will show from now on. Please let me know, darling. I mean post here if you will. Love, Gloria

Thanks for this wonderful team work!

Hi everybody, thanks for your quick response and prompt reaction. Now it is fixed, I see translator's name has been changed to Cat on the latest Chinese subscription. Thanks to all!

Cat

Cat, what a pleasure to work

Cat, what a pleasure to work with you! You are inspiring. A thousand blessings. Good things are happening. More to look forward to.

Dear Cat, now that it's been

Dear Cat, now that it's been a few days since Will and Mauro made it possible for your signature on your translations to appear, it looks to me that you are translating Heavenletters into Chinese every day. Can this miracle be?!!! Dreams really come true!

Cat, will you check out a comment about translations from Jaime who is a dedicated Spanish translator? Is his suggestion something you might like to do? I would be thrilled to hear your voice reading a translation of your out loud!! Can you find Jaime's comment and respond there as well as perhaps here as well, if this is okay with you?
