From the Sea of Imagination

God said:

Hello. Let Me introduce yourself to Me, the Me of you. You are really I, yet you disguise yourself as you. And, wonder of wonders, you come to believe in your disguise. You have become fond of your acrylic wigs and pasted-on beards, so to speak, and the expressions on your face. What would you do without this illusion of you? How would you pass the time? What would you pretend then if you stopped pretending?

You, the you you think you are, are quite a cardboard picture of yourself. You have covered Me with embellishments of diverse kinds. You have drawn quite a curriculum vitae of yourself, and you have taken to heart every word of it, no matter the light it puts you in.

You have painted Me as very far away and way too good for you, is that not so? You have fashioned an illusion of Me as you have fashioned an illusion of yourself. You have taken Us both to extremes.

Where there is Oneness, there can be no extreme. No extreme. There can be no otherness. Only in illusion can We who in reality are One seemingly exist as two, both a blur as it happens, a blurred image, out of focus, a camera shot taken from an incorrect setting. The picture you see is not what you really took a picture of. Blurred photo. Blurred image. Out of focus, mis-seen, mis-read, image pasted on image, pasted when there exists, in truth, One, not an image and no images thereafter, but, oh, yes, greatly thankfully yes, the Real Thing.

I am real, and naught else is. Not one thing you are familiar with is true except for Me which is, as it happens, the Truth of you, even though you don't believe it. You have been indoctrinated in down-pedaling yourself.

Right now, as We speak, this is an imaginary conversation We are seeming to have. It can be said that I talk to Myself. There is no else to talk to. And yet what I hear is the reverberation of Myself, and I am happy. I am very happy.

And if, for a while, you act as though you were an entity separate from Me, then so shall you seem to be for a while. We will be a kind of conspiracy, an illusion that the whole extant world seems to endorse, or flaunt, consider important when all is a tempest in a teapot, a barnacle on stone, a creature from the sea of imagination.

And what a great imagination you have. You can only temporarily, of course, push yourself off to the side of the road, as though you were auxiliary while you are totally, truly the One of Me, the One of One. I can't say One of All, because there is no All.

Totality is Oneness. There is naught but Oneness. Oneness alone is, and Oneness is so rife with Fullness and Beauty, and, in your case, full of imagined beings and happenings, a fantasy that is taken as true. Even though it is a story, a wild one at that, it is upheld as true even as Truth is something else to behold.

Of course, Truth cannot really be beheld. It can only be. Truth is. The Truth of Being is I, and I am you, and you are I, and Oneness is thriving, and you are Oneness.

Of course, in the world as it is, you cannot go around saying, "I am God," even though this is the Reality, you understand, don't you?

I am One. And that's the whole story. That is the One Truth, and you, beloved, My beloved Self, do not exist except as Myself.

The illusion on which all other illusions are based

In this letter, the fundamental problem we deal with in life is addressed. Of course, in the world as it is, you cannot go around saying, "I am God," even though this is the Reality, you understand, don't you? Yes, everything about our society, how it is set up and how we relate to everyone else in our day to day lives is deeply and thoroughly enmeshed with an illusion.

We human beings have created this illusion and worked it into our lives for millennia. We have seen our Creator as completely separate from us and infinitely better than us. We have seen ourselves as defective and unworthy and in need of rescue from our basic nature. In the words of this letter: You have painted Me as very far away and way too good for you, is that not so? You have fashioned an illusion of Me as you have fashioned an illusion of yourself. You have taken Us both to extremes.

Now it is suggested that we see ourselves differently. Somehow we are to get in touch with Truth. This Truth is within us and thus readily available to us. The hard part is how we do this while the rest of the world is totally inhospitable to this point of view. Heavenletters and its forums are an oasis in this desert we live and work in. Out task is formidable. We are to break through a lifetime of confusion about who we really are, and do so in an environment that actively opposes our efforts.

Love to all,

Chuck

Chuck you make me wish I had said it that way!

Chuck you words ring rich bells of inside knowing. It helps us feel something that just hints a bit and runs and hides. This i so good!.

extremes

dear Chuck your comment struck me, I went to your site (which struck me once more) and found this: . Our minds are much more powerful than we have ever considered possible. Our universe is much more tightly organized and much more benevolently intended then we have ever realized. . thank you for your brilliance.

Thanks

Thanks, George and Nirmala, for your kind remarks. For those who are interested, a sort of bare bones outline of my future book can be found in a ten article series recently posted on my blog. At long last, it looks like my book will be published in a couple of months or so!

This undefined fear of Truth

"This Truth is within us and thus readily available to us. The hard part is how we do this while the rest of the world is totally inhospitable to this point of view." This very inspiring statement of yours, Chuck, points us towards another observation: our deep rooted ambivalence in relation to Truth.

The collective inhospitability of the world is just a reflexion or projection of our own inhospitability towards the Truth. Yes, we are longing to meet the Truth, to be aware of the Truth because we have been created by Truth. This is our very essence. But what happens when Truth pops in front of us by surprise in ways that we don't expect and don't want to expect?

We are dealing with authenticity. Awareness of Truth is what drives us to be authentic persons. But, in the relative world, authenticity is the result (and the cause) of the undoing of the guilt and fear in our mind.

And why do we fear the Truth at the same time as we are longing for It? Why do we paint God as very far away, why do we fashion an illusion of God as we fashion an illusion of ourself? Deep down below the guilt and fear, lies the idea of SACRIFICE. To let go of our illusions, to leave the past and the future behind, to leave our memories behind, to leave the loved ones behind seem a price to pay to endorse Truth. We unconsciously expect sacrifice demanded of us by God. That is enough to make us fear and stay away from Truth. Even giving up the personal self seems, in many unexpected ways, a sacrifice: living in poverty, giving up desires, relationships, making apparently "against nature" choices…

Is it the price to pay to access Peace and Truth? That is what ego says. And ego will never stop whispering us this idea. But we can let go of our believing in it. What do all the desires and pleasures and quests of the world bring us, after all, if not conflicts and loss of peace? What are we sacrificing? We are sacrificing conflict for peace.

Only our attachment to our personal desires paints God as very far away, fashions an illusion of God as we fashion an illusion of ourself. Only when we recognize deeply in our mind and our heart that peace and Truth is more valuable than conflict and illusion, will we be daring enough to say, like Christ: "I am God".

"The Truth of Being is I, and I am you, and you are I"

The FATHER whispers His love this way:
"Of course, in the world as it is, you cannot go around saying, "I am God," even though this is the Reality, you understand, don't you?

I am One. And that's the whole story. That is the One Truth, and you, beloved, My beloved Self, do not exist except as Myself."
Keep reading and dreaming until your inner sense of who you really are tells you of this TRUTH. Be IT.

George

God's Beloved Self

I am Your Beloved Self, reading this message from my Self. There is no one else, but I, and I am not a person. I Am God, and God Alone, I Am. There is no one else to Be, there is only The Being I Am. I Am. Thank You for revealing Truth, dear Self. Thank You for revealing what We all already know, deep within. This is Our Truth, even though there is no We, only The One. I surrender all ideas to The One, and I allow all perceptions to be released and replaced with awareness of Truth. Thank You for Truth only.
