The ends of the Earth

I have a question about HEAVEN 2339 The Horizon and the Heavens: What exactly is meant by 'the ends of the Earth' in this phrase:

All the perceived difficulties in life fall off the ends of the Earth.

Thanks to anyone who can help!
Love,
Paula

Paula, you ask such good

Paula, you ask such good questions! And I have to think! I hope others will answer too.

This is a common expression -- falling off the ends of the Earth, as if we could fall off the planet, as if there were ends of the Earth as there might be if the Earth were flat, and we could fall off! We could vanish!

So in this Heavenletter, God is saying that our perceived difficulties can fall off and vanish.

The expression sometimes is also used like this: "I would go to the ends of Earth in order to show my love for you."

Did you ever see the movie: The Gods Must Be Crazy?

It's a great Australian movie. A precious little aborigine man literally believed in the ends of the Earth, and he threw something (he believed it was the cause of problems in his village) over a cliff, believing that the edge of the cliff was indeed the ends of the Earth.

You realize, of course, that so many expressions are used in English that we never think about -- we just use them. I hope my answer is accurate.

Thank you so much for asking, dear Paula.

With love and blessings,

Gloria

A slight adjustment if I

A slight adjustment if I may...The God's Must Be Crazy is a South African production based on the lives of the Khoi San People...also known as The Bushmen and they have a beautiful dialect which has loads of clicking sounds. In isiZulu there are around 12 different ways to click your tongue, each one with a different connotation.

I remember watching this movie on our 1st VCR! It (The Gods Must Be Crazy) and Ghandi were the 1st 2 movies I watched on a vcr.

My understanding of "..the ends of the earth...."...it has to do with the theme of the Heavenletter. One can also see in the following Heavenletters a simillar theme. The theme is about false boundries, (incorrectly) perceived weaknesses etc. The idea of the earth being flat was a belief accepted by many people during our history. The belief arose from false knowledge.

As such in this Heavenletter, it is almost a play on words...almost like God is playing...saying ok send your non-existant difficulties over the non-existant ends of the world. Your non-existant difficulties arise from false knowledge.

Thank you so much for your

Thank you so much for your answers to my question. Of course, I had an idea of what it meant but it's different to understand with the heart and put it in intellectual words.
Unfortunately I never heard about the film The Gods must be crazy. I'm afraid it never arrived in Italy.
