Be Glad for What You Are and What You Are Not

God said:

If you would take hold of joy the way you clasp trouble to your bosom, how happy you would be. Clasp appreciation close to you. Clasp regard for life and your life. Be glad for what you are and for what you are not. Be glad for what you have and what you have not. Allocate to yourself all that you can be glad for. Your life is your life. Do not begrudge it. Do not fault it.

You were handed a certain sequence of cards, so it seems. You may have picked them out of the deck. Whether you did or not, however they got handed to you, they are in your hands, and you are the one who plays them out.

In sickness or in health, life has been granted you.

I know you feel that life is often not fair. Some of your blessings may not be fair either. Value your blessings, and then you are playing fair with life.

For reasons known or unknown, your life is such and so. Someone would be grateful for what you, at present, may or may not be grateful for. In retrospect, you may be grateful for much that you were not grateful for at the time.

When you were nineteen, you might have found fault with your figure. Now you would be thrilled to have that same figure.

Once you may not have appreciated some people in your life, and now you wish they were here and that you could hug them and talk to them and tell them how much you love them.

Once, someone broke your heart, perhaps, and it was the end of the world for you. Now, in retrospect, you heave a deep sigh of relief that you did not go down the path that once you so wanted to go down.

You may favor one fruit over another, yet each fruit from God's tree nourishes you. Your preference is not everything. Digest what is before you. It may be hard for you to see, yet some good will come from it. You may well not know what good, yet good will come. You will come out ahead from it. You will survive. You will thrive.

What is there in life to be surprised at? If you must have woe, you must also have joy. Let woe be uncommon, and joy abundant.

You may not have conscious choice of all that visits you in life, yet you can choose the timbre of your life. You may have a scrawny little tree in your yard, and you can water it, and you can bless it, and it will bear fruit. Someone else may have an orchard and neglect it. One tree, or a thousand, trees are for you to nourish. Life is for you to nourish.

Whatever is given to you or taken away from you, you have say over how you treat life. You are a vital factor. You are the deciding factor of how you value your life. You do not need to stay stuck in one view of life. You are free to choose from many views. Do not let moaning about life become a habit. It is a hard habit to break. If you have adopted that habit, let it go now. It is easier to let go of it now than later.

If, at this moment, I were to adjure you to pray, I would ask you to pray that you lift up your life and offer it to Me with all the love in your heart and so make your offering of your life to Me and your responsibility for your life simple and holy.

For reasons known or unknown

I understand this Heavenletter better than yesterday's which made me feel sad and lonely and angry and belligerent, all at the same time. Perhaps it's a good thing the system didn't take comments yesterday (not during my waking time anyway).

How disarming is this: Be glad for what you are and for what you are not. Be glad for what you have and what you have not. Suddenly I realize there may indeed not be any real difference. How relieving that would be. Who invented preference? Rather, who invented insistence that one's preference ought to be met? What an impractical invention, breeding endless misery. Why not be at peace with things "amiss", things "painful". Why disturb peace in the first place, who had that strange idea of blowing up simple and innocent "yes" and "no" into cosmic drama? Since only humans do that, it can't have any real survival value.

Life is. Does it matter whether it is picked or handed? Today, suddenly, the question is empty and meaningless. The whole discussion about choice or about freedom and necessity – so many red herrings. For reasons known or unknown, your life is such and so. Yes. Or it is so and such and there is no real difference until I posit one.

But here I go, prattling on and on to avoid that last paragraph which, like yesterday's, stops me short. With no direct experience of God, with no felt sense of God's presence, with just that eternally unconvincing conclusion that for this reason or that He just has to be there, how can you embrace those last paragraphs?

No one would ever want you

No one would ever want you to feel unsettled or whatever we would call it. You give us so much inspiration here, Jochen.

Don't shoot me now, but I picked out these short quotations from yesterday's Heavenletter:

There are hordes of angels surrounding you.

Think of Me, for I am thinking of you.

Trouble may be a mighty dragon, and yet who says you have to believe in dragons?

Everything depends upon how you look at it.

Your troubles are not everything.

Even with troubles, can you allow yourself to be a little happy?

I lift your heart now. I bring you to Me. Now, what can the matter be?

I loved the title The Mighty Dragon as well.

I do not believe that you have not had first-hand experience with God. I do not believe it for one minute.

But that's beside the point, what I believe or don't believe. I just know I am very glad you ARE, and that you share yourself here so magnificently.

dragons

No shooting on these premises, not before dark anyway. Not only will I not shoot you, I will even refrain from posting my comment on yesterday's Heavenletter. I still have it. It has much the same drift in some respect, only it's a little bitter.

I absolutely mean what I say. I am totally unable to imagine how anyone having first-hand experience of God could ever have the tiniest complaint or dissatisfaction in his or her life. How on earth could we??

I lift your heart now. I bring you to Me. Now, what can the matter be?

Thank you for quoting this again. But really, for anyone actually experiencing this, what can the matter be? It's not possible for anything to be the matter when you have first-hand experience of this. Wit this experience, no dragons. Without it, dragons all around.

I like to think I have

I like to think I have first-hand experience with God. You ask how someone can feel, have, know God for himself or herself and ever have the tiniest dissatisfaction in life, how could we possibly? I ask the same question, and yet I have my share of complaints and fears etc. I know better, but I have them just the same. I think them. I say them.

I have them much less than I used to, but they are not gone.

There is not one Heavenletter that I do not need and need very much. I "chuckle" to myself, Jochen: "Now, what can the matter be?"

In my personal Godwriting this morning, God had to say: "Can you leave this situation to Me?"

The lesson of Equilibrium.

First- or second-hand experience with God? I think we simply have both and it can't be otherwise. If we exist, we Are and, Being can't be anything less thand first-hand experience with or of God.

Yet we are "experimental" and "experiencing" Beings. We are "experimental" as human because we chose ourself to inhabit a body of duality. And what we are experiencing through this experimental body of dualistic reality is to ENLARGE the frontiers of Consciousness-God. God said (H #12) : «You are here on earth to restore your allegiance to Me.» That is where stands the "second-hand experience with God": to RESTORE. And restoring is always a difficult task and, if time does not exist in Heaven, it does in our separated 3-D reality.

It is not easy for experiencing humans to sit between the chair of One and the chair of Two yet we are here to set the foundations of a new planetary Order led by the Law or Governement of God, which is Unity instead of the law or government of humans which is separateness.

We are all seeking actively Alleviation and Enlightenment and strive to return to Equilibrium and Harmony inside and outside ourself. But we have to become conscious of certain (karmic?) limitations that our Soul has ACCEPTED as experiences to learn from in this life. There are limitations and specific conditions THAT CANNOT BE CHANGED, and the lesson is to ACCEPT them with grace and try to reach a level or achievement INSIDE the limitations that have been imposed on us (by our choice). This does not have to be seen as a punishment but as an opportunity to equilibrate energy and discordant thoughts (dragons).

The ultimate goal of Restoration is to restore the vision of ourself and everyone and everything as billions of billions of Ones floating and singing with joy in the Creative Ocean of The Infinite Love of One.

dragons revisited

I'm a little bit surprised here, because of the way that there is spoken about dragons.
Let's presume they exist (in Real time) or did exist (in linear time) Why are they seen as troublemakers?

I have often read that they are also known for their great wisdom!
Perhaps I was touched by this because chinese astrology says I was born in a dragonyear.........

Hi, Anco! We have to give

Hi, Anco! We have to give God some liberties! Once God spoke about a wolf in similar terms and a dear subscriber wrote in about how wolves are endangered etc. God really didn't mean to people to shoot wolves.

I think God uses personification that has been around for a while. Big bad wolf, fire-eating dragon, they simply are well-known expressions. They are just expressions, not to be taken literally.

God has to say something!

Loving you,

Gloria

Dear Gloria,
