Be a Spark of Light

God said:

When We talk about where you put your attention, that is the same as talking about where you put your energy. That may well be the same as talking about where you put your money. If you fritter your energy, you may well fritter your money the same.

If you have a piece of crayon in your hand, and you draw your hand around in circles on paper, you will have a rendition of clouds. There can be a soothingness to this, and there are times when it may well be appropriate to doodle. But you cannot only go around in circles. When you go all over the place, you go all over the place.

People Who Care about You

God said:

Your mind is like a reporter, only the most biased reporter is more objective than your mind.

Your mind colors everything. As an example, when you listen to the presidential pre-election news in the U.S., when you are a staunch Republican, you listen one way, and when you are a staunch Democrat, you listen another way. Whom you are for makes a phenomenal difference to how you think. If you are for one or the other, you don't even want to hear what the other side has to say.

Whose Ship You Sail

God said:

It is good for you to know that you don't have to bend to every circumstance that comes along. But that does not mean for you to be resolute. This is not a question of will. It is a question of coming from strength. Toss out all your ideas of weakness.

You are not a piece of wood that is buffeted up and down by the ocean. You are the ocean. The ocean does not resist what sails on it, but it doesn't flounder either.

The winds that blow are not the maker of you.

I am the Maker of you.

You Are God's Love

God said:

Think of where your attention has been — on the dribs and drabs of life — when all the time your attention could have been on Our togetherness, Our waymaking, Our beauty, Our gifts, Our intelligence.

Your attention has been on little typos of life, omissions, repetitions, and unhappy possibilities.

Now swing your attention to the possibilities of wondrousness. Swing your attention to one possibility, the possibility that We are One, and that together We are greatness in the making. What are you if not in the making?

Paramour of the Boxes

God said:

The physical will consume your life if you let it. You will have boxes and possessions everywhere. Your heart will be stored in the closet, taken out of circulation, put on a shelf with the boxes. Your heart will become paramour of the boxes and whatever is in them.

What Beauty Is

God said:

There is no need to puzzle over life. No need to investigate. No need to figure out how or why something happened. No need to discern and pronounce what did happen. Never mind the logical determinations. If you must discover, discover that which moves your heart to greater heights. Move into the arena of appreciation. Move into what is beautiful. Move into what touches your heart and not so much the logistics of your mind.

Your Journey

God said:

Anger is frustrated control. Have not control or need to control, and you will have not anger.

When you turn up the flame under the kettle, it will boil. It will boil over. You try to contain it. But the boiling over came from your need to control passages and outcomes. What would you expect when you turn up the flame?

No one fools you. You fool yourself.

If you did not fool yourself, where would be your cause of anger?
