An Anonymous Giver

God said:

Unless you are coming from love, you are, My children, coming from ego.

I can't say it more clearly than that.

Now you know how much ego there is in the world and how much you still have.

This is not to make you tear your hair out. Don't despair. All is not lost. It may be you have to notice ego before you can untie its long greedy fingers from you.

What a loss of your ego it is to hear that you are not even close at disbanding your personal ego! You took pride in the fact that you were pretty advanced when, in fact, there is a long trail of ego that you have left behind you. And now to learn that there is much more! Oh, no! You thought you were almost done, and now you are faced with the thought that you have just begun.

In this awareness right now, sheaves of ego are falling off from you. It cannot stay where it is not welcome. I grant ego that. It has the sense to leave.

Much of what you say and what you think and what you do is presently concerned with perpetuating your ego. You will admit that much of your life is concerned with making yourself feel a little bit better about yourself and your place in the world. You naturally want the world to move over a little bit and make room for you. You want to be honored and comfortable there.

But when you are here on earth to fulfill a mission for Me, you are not so dependent upon honor and comfort. They are not so vital to your joy in living.

Let your cheek flush with joy for what you do for Me and not for the accolades or good graces of the world.

Let's face it. Ego panders.

When you say something, what response are you seeking? When you do something, what do you want at the end of it?

When you seek approval, or agreement, or plaudits, or thanks, or recognition or the millions of other things you seek, your attention is misdirected. You are like the waiter who carries a heavy tray and is thinking of his tips when he might better attend to the balancing of the tray and giving good service.

When your thoughts concern winning or triumph, ego is at foot.

I am not saying you shouldn't want to win. You enter a race to win it. But there is running and there is winning and there is your value that is not bounced around by either winning or losing. If your main purpose is to prove your value to the world, ego is winning the race.

Let your value be the platform you come from. Let your value be a given. It is a given, but you don't always know that. You often don't know that. When you do not have to win to prove anything, how would your amble in life change? You might run the same race, but what a different running that would be. You might win it, but what a different winning that would be.

What if nothing were at stake? What if all you did today had no price on it? What if you do what you do for the joy of doing or the joy of giving and not for something at the end of it?

This is where anonymous comes in. You are an anonymous donor to the world. You give in My Name, and that is all there is to it. You are a beautiful anonymous giver of My wares.
