If there were no mirrors, how much time would you save? How much grief?

You were made in My image, not in the image a mirror makes of you.

Consider how your life would be different if there were no mirrors. Mirrors heighten your belief in the physical. Without mirrors, you would have less awareness of the body and more awareness of the you who emanates through your body. You would have more attention on your voice and Mine. You would have more attention on the who is thinking rather than on particular thoughts. There would be more silence and more wisdom.

But in relative life, there are mirrors. Even so, you can pay less attention to them. You can transcend mirrors and all the store windows. It is not necessary that you look into every glass to catch a glimpse of the body that walks and smiles and lightly forgets about its inner being.

Of course, you have senses so that you may see and hear and taste and smell and touch, and so you may eat and live with joy. Now add to the beautiful senses of life the sense of Self. Not your prancing little self, but the indwelling Self that connects directly to Heaven. Attend to your God Self which is, after all, My image. Reflect the Divine Presence at least as much as you gaze upon your physical presence in a glass.

If there were no mirrors, would life perhaps become more real?

When you believe the reflection in the mirror, you feel uplifted or you feel downcast. The physical reflection is fleeting. It is only there when you look into the mirror, but I am always present, and I always uplift. My consciousness is so great, I can only uplift. Attend to the interior, beloveds.

If there were no mirrors, how old do you think you would be? You would know you are ageless. You would be less troubled. You would have poured more from the cup of your heart. You would have been open to receiving more. Your over-attention on the physical has shut doorways within you.

Whom do you think Narcissus is but you? Narcissus bent down to the river and fell in love with himself. You have gone one step further, however. You look into the mirror and you see flaws. You have fallen out of love with yourself.

The physical will fail you soon or late. There is no need for you to wait until then in order to be awakened to the beautiful truth within you.

Use a different kind of magnifying glass to reveal the permanent beauty within you. We could call this mirror silence. Yes, silence lets you reflect your inner being. Your inner being shines through the medium of silence. Silence is a stillness within you. It is a power within you. It is My power within you.

My power within you is peace. The silence within you is stirred by its very silence. It is always there, but the outer attention and noise of the world have turned you from it.

That silence is more than remembering Me. It is reuniting your consciousness with Mine. What a good thing! Remembering Me is a salve to your heart and soul. Remembering Me goes deep.

I am not telling you to ignore the world. I am suggesting that you include Me, the One Who wishes you well, the One Who is always by your side, simply waiting for you to glimpse Me. From one glimpse of Me, your etheric spine will straighten, and your Divinity will be more forthright.
