We have already gotten over it
Perhaps strivings in the world
have your heart somewhat unjoined,
and not listening to completed joy.
Strivings of wars, poverties, and destructions of nature.
Regarding strife on soils foreign, will there
not be a day when soldiers come home?
Yes, of course, that someday comes...
maybe not in this minute or hour, or before
the next eclipse.
But in that future day,
we will say,
"We have already gotten over it..."
Beloveds, angels dressed in disguise,
Bring that day closer,
just by knowing
from the All in All,
that perfection comes upon the earth,
when our God Triumphant
comes to live with his lovers on earth.
Is it not promised in holy writings,
that the Divinest Leader
comes to our material realm,
and the lion shall lay with the lamb?
We will then be horse whisperers,
all who desire it,
lion-whisperers, able to scratch
their tum tums, without even the knowledge
of pain which pains us in these hours.
Look forword to the time
when we will say
"We have already gotten over it...it's fine now."
And now bring that time to the now,
and say, imagining,
"I have already gotten over it..."
Of course,
There is proper mourning,
and then there is anguish and turmoil.
Allow the mourning necessary, but speed the day
when strife ends
by saying
"I have already healed..."
This way you can better send
roses to the soldiers without the growth being hindered.
Make those bullets into
hot petals of rose-love,
make the arrows
shoot into the sky,
as prayers to God for peace.
Make those tanks
into protection for yourselves,
against worries,
and imagine that a tank surrounds
every soldier, that there is armor to spare,
dropping from the heavens, and that these tanks
replicate themselves, speeding to every one in need.
See, then you can help them,
Vision not just a world at peace,
but every soldier, every fighter, on any side, no matter the religion,
or country,
at peace,
no insomnia, no worries, no threats
which can not be met.
Make the explosions of shrines
simply the noise of a clearing away
so the ground can be built again,
with permanent buildings, eternal,
beautiful to behold.
See within, a soldier saying a kind word
to an opponent, and the opponent,
saying, as a result, "I have gotten over this...",
I can not fight my brother man
any longer.
See swords melting into plowshares,
Now if you can do that,
you can see
all your problems melting into the void, and you will be the
peace on earth, and goodwill toward men...and women, and little ones flying kites.
Be the peace,
be the politician who ends it,
in your visions and dreams.
Kiss someone on the opposing side,
send the kiss,
no matter which side is the opposing side for you.
For their is no opposing side, the opposer is also us,
our body, our soul, our love.
Drink and eat communion with them,
and take in one of their holy ordinances.
Be the loving Mohammed to them, if that is what they need.
Be Allah to them, if that is what they need.
Send them a dream at night,
where Mohammed and Allah makes peace with all.
Send politicians the comfort, that things will be okay
if we stand down, even if it's just a little.
Be Bush's Christ, and send him a message
through your God, that things can be okay,
if we follow a wiser choice.
Be the world's Christ,
and send it peace.
Be the world's Allah,
and send it peace.
Be the world's Buddha,
and send it peace,
and be the peace.
Declare and end to hostilities,
shout it to the mountaintops,
and see that all the world's opponents
have already gotten over it.

Since I wrote this I feel the need to correct any misunderstandings about the writing. First of all, please understand, please, in the thoroughness of your being understand that this is not about a political statement. It is a peace statement.
When I write to be a certain politician's Christ, I do not imply, even at the fringes or the corners, that this person actually prays to or believes in the Christ, or at least the same Christ we understand to be the true Christ. Whether he actually acknowledges the Christ or not in his decisions is not at all my point. It is only that he claims this, and I think most can agree concerning this. For me to write, that you should be his Buddha, for example, would be unfitting, it just doesn't work, at least for me. But if it works for you, then that is more than fine with me.
This poem has little to do with the literal things of this earth, although it touches these things. Notice that in my tank analogies, these tanks have no offensiveness about them. These are only symbolic metaphors that, frankly, I need to feel a correct peace about the situation. These imaginary devices are only for "protection". If you want to "use" them to protect Iraqi civilians, Iraqis serving as security personnel, whoever, either way, it's about what works only for you. Whatever gives you peace, even if it includes tuning out what I have written completely, then fine.
This website is about peace and love and harmony, and if there are others who need to view things "on the ground" in a different way, to help them acheive a peace about certain situations, then I think that this is an issue which is approachable. On the other hand, if you are above all of these things happening on the theatre of earth, then great. I want to catch up to you, save me a place where you are at. It's just that this writing helped me to do that, in some little way. See, there was a civil war inside of me about this, and I needed to just call for a time out, for my own peace.
Back to Bush's Christ, it's kind of like "whisper words of wisdom, let it be, let it be", as Lennon sung. But I don't have his ear, I can only sing the appropriate song through an intermediary, a divine one. If you want to whisper words through his higher self, if that is not difficult to you, then fine. It's about whatever works for you, and whatever words of wisdom work for you, beloveds on fire for love.
As far as what course should be followed by politicians, or what should have been done, or not done, this poem really doesn't address that nor should it. I wanted this poem to be above all that. See, I needed to get over something. If I help someone else do the same, then I am made happy for it.
What helps me is to imagine a day when none of the bullets make their mark, and none of the bombs detonate. And what if this happens 2 or 3 days in a row, and the people involved start to think, he/she is missing me on purpose! And people start to think, what is the purpose of all of this, this is not a war this is just a mirage. Let's pack up and go home!
If I save someone from a few scatches by my musings, I've done what I could. Be blessed people, that's only what it's all about.

Hey, thanks everybody, I needed a little woo-hoo, thumbs up especially from at1ment. I am kind of a lazy reader so I wouldn't mind reading a few poems from you that sort of summarize all of the different insights that you (at1ment) have on spiritual things, I mean the insights that are the ones that are way out there that few people ever think of. Because I can't really read all the poems or I'll just become a spiritual wonk, like a policy wonk who can only think of policies (or spiritual things) without being able to connect with all the people.
I made a reply to (in) my "Addendum and Apology to the Plan..." about the "h" word, (hell) because I read the poem at1ment wrote with that word in it, and (you) wrote also about fear, wasnt' sure if the stuff about fear was concerning that "little confict over the big pond" (want to keep it little in my mind) or about the "h" word, or something else. Anyway the old religous ideas about "h" I think are quite outdated and I think in this writing I turned the old ideas upside down. But I don't want to get into further discussion about "h" because that can turn into a downer even if it starts off on the right track.
Look, you guys and guys help me because once in a while I'll revert to old quasi-fundamental patterns of thinking and well, when you don't comment, I understand what you are saying-I am being too hard headed, or at least am not being the writer I should be.
I hope that when I write about "the lion laying down with the lamb" I'm not being too over biblical for you all. It's just that I think that if God is going to start this endeavor on earth that I think that He probably has a pretty good plan in mind concerning how He/She is going to completely remedy all the perceived ills on earth. Marky-Mark...what up Brother?...re: the "h" word and all that...i don't usually use it and yet as long as we the people continue to live in fear, to judge our living in fear, to be attached and addicted to pain in every level and extreme, then for me, this is hell on our temporal plane, which remains until we let the rain, wash it all away, until we realize we're the Sun, The Daughter and Son, that lights up the day...and then again, i'll speak of it here and there 'cause i often write in response to those around me and i know quite a few who love to preach of conversion to a particular faith, which is all fine and dandy, but when it's all up in my face, then my pen is my sword in the kindest kind of way, and i'll write, not to fight, but just to bring up another point of view, and i send it to all in my email list and then to this group...Blessings Brother Mark...For You, Are You...mikey-mike:) and now i'll add a spiritual poem from a time ago

Your heart cannot be misunderstood, when hearts meet and when hearts do read and feel other hearts the they do understand perfectly.
This poem touches may arguments, earthly and spiritual, outside and within, it of an incredible beauty. Since we all feel differently, although being one and the same LOVE, probably each reader will find something different which resonantes in him or her. Hey GUYS U ROCK! Today in my own world began thinking about conflict, and what causes the conflict and have just finished a really interesting book called A Solution to every Spirtual Problem by Wayne Dyer really good read... I got to thinking about Peace for you cannot get Peace with conflict...
I remembered when i was working with children to take away the source of the quarrel or separate the children and get the children to play with others, tell them to play nicely and get along, and yet as adults we cannot seem to follow our own advice..
So how i see it is that for us to be in a peaceful world, then a peaceful world begins with me being peaceful. Taking each day to learn to live and love and get along with our families, friends and neighbours who knows the whole world may want some Peace.

The poem above was beautiful. With great love and admiration for you all, poems do better without explanation. Explanations take away. A poem speaks for itself, or it doesn't.
I found this poem wonderful.
The explanation and some responses to it prompted me to write this. Please don't anyone be offended. I feel a need to say something.
Dear Ones, we are overdue for making guidelines for this forum. We did have them once, but they seem to have gotten lost along the way.
We sure want free expression. We want to be who we are and not pretend to be something we're not. We don't have to be perfect, yet, it seems to me, there are subjects that we're smart to stay away from. Namely, politics and religion.
There are plenty of other sites that welcome discussions about politics and religion. Many of us have strong opinions on these topics, and discussions about them have a tendency to divide people. It's not that we want everyone to agree and to be perfect. It's just that we want to keep the vibration here high.
Whereas many of us already know each other well, there are new people coming to the forum every day. Not everyone posts. There may be seven posts, let's say, but forty or more people who come to read. Many people come in to take a look and see what we're about. This forum represents Heavenletters. We want this to be a forum where everyone, whatever their politics, whatever their religious beliefs, feel comfortable and welcome here.
Friends, if you post on certain topics, then others will follow what you do. Do you know what I mean?
You'll think me a prude, but some swear words are used so much everywhere, we forget that they may not belong here in Heavenletters.
What do you feel?

As for the forum:

Maybe sometimes it's not easy to make a clear distinction of things and one theme or posting links us to the next. I have understood what you mean although I might not be able to express me here correctly.
Obviously we could write about any arguments what so ever touches our life, it would be infinite really, and surely as you say many people feel strongly about religion and politics and many other arguments, it's good to remind that this forum is the forum of Heavenletters. I don't feel that we have posted to many things which are "out of theme" or "over the border line", do you feel so perhaps ?
Anyway this poem here is heaven, I really like it !!

Dearest Gloria...my powers of deduction lead me to believe that it was a response or responses of mine that promted you to write re:guidelines...it's always on my mind, especially here, where this is the essense of your site, to keep it light...it's an interesting balance between feeling free so to speak ones mind and then not crossing some line, set or not yet...Though we are all one with the truth of God's Mind Being Clear and Present and Free, sometimes 'cause we still come from somewhat limited perception and temporarily reside in "place and time" then we often tend to discuss, "what's in our heart" or "what's on our mind"...as it were...anyway...you are 100% percent within your rights obviously to place guidelines that will uphold the integrity and vision of this sight...it's good for us all to perhaps think upon "the letter of the law" and "the Spirit of the Law" and determine what this is at the Heart of Hearts...anyway...though a cautious fellow, sometimes overly so, i can tend to be a bit of a renegade as well...so let me know, if here, i need to pull in, either a bit or a lot, the reins..with love and respect...:)'s mike

this is interesting, Gloria...maybe this is direction best for us all, where God wants us to "go"...to carefully observe our thoughts, so to choose thoughtfully our words...i often would include certain words that, for me, detail the human experience as it pertains to pain and war, inner or outer, all stemming from fear...these words i wouldn't speak to or be interested in having a pre-school child hear, at all...so, hmmm...maybe the best way to relate and heal is to bring it down to the simplest level, which is the most profound...to innocence, when and where we get out of our complex, confused and confusing minds....hmmm, Gloria..i think you r on to something here...or maybe u always were and i'm just catching on...at any rate, we'll see where this leads future writings...at the very least, it's scrumptous food for thought...mike

Oops, I'm spanked. Regarding a certain posting, it started out as a good news intended kind of thing, how we cheer God's heart, and then it went into explaining something, and then making sure the explanation wasn't misunderstood, and then reexplaining. I have this problem with being misunderstood maybe? Because if the misunderstanding isn't addressed it can fester. Sorry if it sounded preachy, because it was in a certain way, it just kind of snowballed, from a topic that I am comfortable with, only because I like to understand all the ins and out of misunderstood theology, (not just the bad parts) right? It's an intellectual thing, but it went where it didn't have to go. And so sometimes I blatantly assume others have my interests, then realizing that others can take it in a way that isn't intended. Then I had to make the snow melt. Bad snow, bad snow!
Oh, and what I said, I don't know if I need to say this or not, but just to make sure, I only mentioned a certain name because it's historical right? I don't want to make it sound like it was something more. I don't want to ruffle feathers on either side, I know that bird don't fly.
