Vastness and Point

Gloria:

Dear God, I did call my niece back. I was in my truth — lightly — but in my truth. She has no trouble saying what she thinks, and I said what I thought, and it was good, and we weren't even in disagreement.

She has two little daughters, one almost three years, and one nine months. How children's services or whatever got involved, I don't know, but they think that both girls are disabled. The older one doesn't talk yet, and the younger one doesn't crawl. They think the younger one has a mild form of autism, but my niece doesn't think so because the baby loves people too much and a neurologist said that, although the baby could have this PPD autism, he didn't think so.

The agency involved wants the older girl to go to a special pre-school, and my niece isn't sure about it. She is hesitant to leave the little girl with fifteen other three to four year olds, half of whom have varying disabilities, and one teacher and one aide, and her little girl can't speak to let her mother know if she's happy there or not. But she will try it out.

My niece has her head on. She isn't buying what "they" tell her, and she isn't ignoring it either.

I don't know what I'm asking, dear God, but I would love to have Your input.

God:

You are in a place now, dear Gloria, that you know whatever the conditions of these little girls, that it's all right. They don't have to be different from what they are. You know they are loved.

The older one will talk. And the younger one will crawl.

All serves a purpose.

Gloria:

My nephew, the son of my estranged brother, sent me another email. He didn't call me Aunt, and it wasn't personal, but he did talk about his beautiful, intuitive, interactive technological business, and it is a mission for him. I feel something wonderful from him, like high pure energy. Some of what he was telling me could have been said about Heaven!

"…my end goal is…a higher level of Human connectedness…I do believe that the more we have access to tools for deep communication and Human networking, the more power the individual will eventually have in forming healthy communities."

God, he capitalizes Human, and that's beautiful! A higher level of connectedness — that's Heavenletters! Access tools for deep communication — that's Ask God Workshops!

I do believe that something is going on here!

God:

It will all unfold. That is all I will say.

Gloria:

What would You like to tell us, dear God?

God:

Life arrives.

It isn't mandated.

It isn't predicted.

Anticipate it, but do not delineate it.

However life arrives, it is for good.

Whatever form it arrives in, it is a gift.

"But but but," you say.

Leave out the but's.

That is the intellect saying, "But it shouldn't be this way. It should be different."

And I tell you that it is exactly right for the moment.

The next moment may be different.

Or the same.

For it is not really life that you experience, dear ones.

It is your impression of life that you experience.

It is your prospectus on life that you experience.

It is your take on life that you experience.

Winnow the joy of life.

Maybe you wanted apple pie, and you were served an apple.

Maybe you wanted silver, and got tin.

Maybe you wanted an apple and got pie.

Maybe you wanted malleable tin and got silver.

Find what you want in what you get.

Don't make the get conform to the want.

Don't expect, and you won't be disappointed.

You have no right to expect.

You think you do.

You have the right to glorify what comes.

You can expect the best to happen — that is a useful take on life — but the details are not yours to make.

Sometimes the details are just what you want, or even more than what you dared want, and you adjust to the expansion. But you waste energy to demand the expansion.

Gloria:

Dear God, I believe you have said in the past that we don't ask for enough in life.

God:

Details are not enough in life.

Settling for less than all is not enough.

Settle for everything.

For the glory and magnificence of life.

Life is like the weather.

You cannot order it.

There may be sun, and you want rain.

There may be cool, and you want hot.

But you can always know that the weather is weather, whatever form it takes.

And it is gloriful.

So is your life. It is LIFE.

It is vastness expressed in a point, but it is vastness.
